Just the other night, Mizani teamed up with L’Oréal and Kim Coles, taking over the L’Oréal Institute in Soho. The evening consisted of a performance by spoken word artists Abyss (HBO DEF Poetry Jam, BET J Lyric Café).

The night was also a celebration of 2013 hairstyle trends for natural hair. Coles was also launching her latest project, a book called The Gratitude Journal. The book began as a personal journey and expanded into a gift that invites the reader to a 30 Day Challenge to find gratitude in your life.

Guests sipped on sparkling wine while checking out the stations with the latest hairstyles modeled live. Mizani‘s Director of Global Marketing, Melka Davis, was a pleasure to meet and personally thanked everyone for coming. The DJ for the evening was none other than Amanda Seales, VH1 on-air personality.
