The man, the myth, the legend Christian Louboutin has done it again. When he introduced us to a line of luxury polishes last year, our jaws dropped. Now he has transformed the everyday lipstick into a beautiful object of art and worthy of display. Inspired by Babylonian architecture, the design captures the ornate aesthetics of Middle Eastern antiques and the Art-Deco movement. The solid black case, holds the iconic Rouge Louboutin. The cap is mounted with a turret-like crown of silver and gold featuring the red accent on the inside. Topped with a small ring threaded with a black silk ribbon, it turns the lip color into a necklace which can be worn at any desired length.
The Lip Color comes in 3 different textures: Sheer Voile, a light coverage; Silky Satin, a medium to full coverage; and Velvet Matte, a full coverage. Encased in gold, it mimics the same body finish as the Rouge Louboutins. There are 35 further colors, 8 Silky Satins, 8 Velvet Mattes and 19 Silky Satins available in a universal shade palette totaling 36 shades and 38 lip colors in the full collection.
