Looking beautiful, gals! Our favorite celebrities made stunning statements at the 2015 SAG Awards with glowing skin, smoky eyes, and bold lips. Celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern created a “sultry” look for Reese Witherspoon for the SAG Awards. Stern was inspired by the “smoldering beauties of film noir” and balanced “rich Bordeaux” colors on the eyes and lips with “bright and flushed skin.” Here’s how to recreate the look:
FACE: Bright, flushed and photo-ready skin
Step 1: Apply Caudalie Eau De Beaute Beauty Elixer, ($49) to invigorate skin. Massage Natura Bisse The Cure Pure Serum, ($260) to give her skin vibrancy and hydration.
Step 2: Apply Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation in Cream Ivory, $48 to ensure complexion is “sheer, dewy and lustrous.”
Step 3: Using Kjaer Weiss Cream Blush in Lovely, ($56), “heat up” the apples of cheeks, giving off a “radiant glow.”
EYES: Matte, earthy look
Step 4: Use a matte earthy wine shade all over the lids and smoke out underneath the lash line.
Step 5: Use Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze, ($25). Then, apply Laura Mercier Matte Eye Color in Truffle, ($24), over the base to give the eye “a depth of color.” Top off the eye look with a brighter shadow – Makeup For Ever Artist Shadow – Matte Finish in Morello Cherry, ($21).
Step 6: Next, tightly line the upper and lower lash line using Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Espresso, ($24).
Step 7: Lastly, curl the lashes with a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, ($29), and coat lashes twice using Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara in Black, ($25).
LIPS: Rich, Bordeaux colour
Step 8: To complete the look, use Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Cocoa, ($27) as a base and brighten and enriched the color by applying Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Color in Orchid Pink ($28, March 2015). To give an “added punch,” apply Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Color in Vermillion Red, ($28, March 2015) to the center of the lips.
Step 9: Finally, top the lip look with Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Black Cherry, ($25) to give “depth and sheen.”
For Kaley Cuoco‘s look, Elizabeth Arden makeup artist Jamie Greenberg was inspired by the black and white portraits of Grace Kelly. Here’s how to recreate the look:
COMPLEXION:
Step 1: Prep skin with Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum and Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Moisture Cream.
Step 2: Apply Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR Makeup to the T-zone to create a mattified look.
Step 3: Apply Flawless Future Perfectly Nude Makeup to the rest of the face for glow and dewiness.
Step 4: To brighten the eye area, swipe Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector under the eyes and in each corner.
Step 5: To finish, use a light dusting of Flawless Future Ultra Smooth Pressed Powder in Translucent.
Step 6: Apply Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush in Nectar and Honey to the apples of the cheeks for a natural peachy-pink pop of color.
EYES:
Step 7: Apply Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Shimmering Copper all over lid, adding Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Spice to the middle of eye.
Step 8: Line the upper lash line with Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eyeliner in Black Velvet and then layered Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Smolder over it. Sweet Smolder along the lower lash line.
Step 9: Finish with one coat of lash Elizabeth Arden Lash Enhancing Mascara in Black/Brown and then add a second coat in black for maximum volume.
LIPS:
Step 10: Create a nude pout using Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Matte Nude layered with Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in Latte.
For the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen gave Camilla Alves a neutral glowy face. Here’s how to recreate the look:
1. Lauren applied Koh Gen Doh Foundation Aqua Foundation to her face before adding Avon Glow Bronzing Powder.
2. Lauren then blended the two darker shades in the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Mocha Latte for depth.
3. Next, she used Avon Big & Daring Mascara in Blackest Black to define the eye.
Inspired by the beautifully juxtaposed tuxedo jacket and feminine, sheer gown by Dior Couture, celebrity makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin created an iconic and empowered look for Emma Stone influenced by the women of the late ‘70s.
