MARS the Salon shares nail looks that coordinate with popular swimsuit prints including polka dots, plaid, color-blocking and leopard print. Whether sporting a bikini or one-piece, salon owner Hiroko Fujikawa shares her favorite nail art to pair perfectly with your beach attire.
You asked for it! We went to our loyal Facebook followers and asked which swimsuit design you wanted Hiroko to recreate on nails! You chose the Trina Turk ‘60s-inspired one-piece with its funky colors and summery flower design. Read on to find out how to get the look at home!
Step 1. File nails into desired shape and apply base coat.
Step 2. Apply 2 coats of white polish to all nails.
Step 3. Using a precision nail art brush, create floral and swirl designs using an array of polish colors (blue, purple, yellow, orange, green etc.). Create these designs across the entire nail of thumb, middle and pinky fingers; across the top of ring finger and across the bottom of index finger.
Step 4. Using your precision nail art brush again, outline the rim of the floral designs with black polish.
Step 5. Apply a top coat to seal and add shine!
Add a solid nail color to your digits to allow the leopard print to really stand out!
