This palette is an ideal and easy tool for draping. If you haven’t heard of draping, it is a type of contouring where you accentuate your cheekbones using blush and highlighter. This palette includes four blush shades (both matte and pearly) in soft and radiant colors, and one highlighter for blending or extra glow. The shades have a silky-smooth finish that is easy to blend, a rich color release, and excellent adhesion to the skin. You can use these both as blushes or eyeshadows as well as individually or swirled together.
How to Drape:
- Use a darker blush shade right below the cheekbones. Swipe the blush upwards towards the ears and temples. If desired, blend the shades towards the eyes.
- Use a lighter blush shade along the cheekbones and swipe upwards towards the temples and above the brows. Blend towards the eye area.
- Use the highlighter to blend the shades or just to add some extra glow!
These powders are silky smooth to the touch and blend flawlessly. When you stick a brush into the pan, they do not kick up a lot of powder at all. I love the warm shades that are in the palette. I also really enjoy the fact that you get a mixture of matte and shimmery shades as well as a nice highlighter. The highlighter is pearly in finish and is not glittery, so you won’t have huge specks of glitter on your face. I found that these products did not accentuate any sort of texture on the skin, such as pores or scars. As you can see from the swatches, the products are rather pigmented and apply onto the skin nicely. This palette comes in two different sets of shades.
This eyeshadow quartet includes 4 matching shades for a professional look. You can mix and match the different colors to create your perfect look. The richly pigmented formula claims to blend flawlessly. The powders claim to have a silky and creamy texture with a unique “liquid powder technology.” IsaDora says the shadows will wear for 12+ hours.
I think this palette is really the perfect basic product that everyone needs in their makeup collection. You get four classic neutral shades all in a matte finish. These four shades can be used to create an entirely matte look. The shadows do have a little bit of kick up when you place a brush in the pan but I don’t mind because of the pigmentation as well as the fact that they blend very nicely on the eyes. It’s almost effortless. I love to use the creamy shade as an all over shade/brow bone highlight, the lighter brown as a transition shade, the mid-toned brown as a crease shade, and the deeper brown as an outer-v/lower lash line shade. It gives you a great, natural look, or you can use this as a “base” to your other looks. You can see from the swatches that these have nice color payoff. Swatches of matte eyeshadows can be deceiving because they sometimes look a bit patchy but when you apply them to your eyes with a brush, they look great. There are several different quads available of different shades.
This matte lip crayon will give you velvety matte lips with a soft satin feel. The lipstick is creamy yet lightweight, intense, and long-lasting. The formula is infused with moisturizing and protective ingredients to give you a comfortable wear – no dry feeling. The special shaped tip allows for an easy and precise application on the contours of your lips.
This liquid lipstick provides an intense matte effect that combines the fluid lightness of a gloss and the rich color of a lipstick! The highly pigmented formula has a super long-lasting hold and a light, fluffy cream texture that leaves an imperceptible feeling on the lips. The sculpted applicator tip allows for a precise and contoured application. This product can be removed easily with the IsaDora Caring Cleansing Oil.
This richly pigmented lipstick contains conditioning and moisturizing Panthenol. The creamy texture is easy to apply and claims to resist feathering. IsaDora recommends this product for dry or chapped lips. It also contains Candelilla Wax and Vitamin E.
The two shades I have are Summer Red (left) and Tender Rose (right). Summer Red is a creamy bright red and Tender Rose is more of a shimmery pinky golden coral. Tender Rose is a great shade to apply just to the center portions of your lips to highlight the lips and give them a fuller appearance – though you can definitely wear it alone. Summer Red is a fabulous statement lipstick. If you’re a fan of bright reds with cream finishes, I think you’ll really love it. It pairs great with some winged eyeliner! There are a lot of other shades available so you’re guaranteed to find something that suits your makeup personality.
Customize your lashes from everyday volume to extra volume and high definition. Just twist the top of the mascara cap to transform the brush into a long or short position. That’s right – this mascara has an expandable 2-in-1 brush with a built-in dial in the cap. It claims to be multi-functioning and provide volume, length, and separation. IsaDora says this mascara works for all lashes, whether they are long, normal, or short. The mascara has a creamy, buildable texture and is long-lasting, and smudgeproof!
As you can see from the photographs, the customizable brush allows you to basically get two different mascara wands in one. The formula of the mascara is thick, creamy, and pigmented. It definitely coats all of your lashes in the deepest, darkest of black formulas (though there are three other shades available in the mascara). I’m not usually a fan of rubber wands but I actually really like this one as well as this mascara formula. I tend to like the “wetter” mascara formulas as opposed to the “drier” ones. You know what I’m talking about, right? This mascara has also been my favorite mascara I think I’ve ever used on my lower lashes – it adds tremendous length to them!
All in all, while these tend to be on the pricier side when it comes to drugstore makeup, they are truly nice products. My favorites out of the bunch are the blush and highlight wheel, the eyeshadow quartet, the mascara, and the liquid lipstick. I’m interested to try other products from IsaDora. I hope soon they will be available in Walgreen’s stores but for now, the Walgreen’s website listed them as only available online. Make sure you check out their full range of products! I could see all of these items being staples in a lot of peoples’ makeup collections.
