CeraVe is a widely known brand of great skincare products available in your local drugstore. I recently reviewed two new body washes from the Cerave line.

I tried the CeraVe Hydrating Body Wash (for normal to dry skin) and the CeraVe Eczema Soothing Body Wash (for extra dry, itch skin). These products retail for around $10.99 to $15.99. Of course, the prices may vary depending on your location and which store you purchase it from.

These body washes were developed with dermatologists and are accepted by the National Eczema Association. They are soap and sulfate free with ceramides and have a gentle foaming formula.

The formula goes beyond cleansing to comfort skin and help repair and restore your skins’ natural protective barrier. It is gentle enough for sensitive skin, non-irritating, and non-comedogenic. Ceramides help to repair the skin barrier. Hyaluronic acid attracts needed moisture to the skin’s surface. Emollients moisturize and soften dry skin all day. They are fragrance and paraben free as well! The Eczema Soothing Body Wash also has Omega oils to sooth dry, itchy, irritated skin.

I don’t suffer from eczema or extremely dry, itchy skin. However, I do not think you have to in order to use either of these products. The body wash lathers great, and I used it with a loofah. I did not apply any lotion or moisturizer after using the product to test whether or not it left my skin feeling hydrated. I must say that my skin was in fact hydrated throughout the day. I also had the faintest scent which left behind and really lingered all day. It’s not a heavy fragrance smell, but rather just a really clean, fresh scent. It’s definitely a neutral scent so both of these products would be suitable for either men or women.

In the past, I have used CeraVe’s line of cleansers and moisturizers for the face and always been pleased. I’m quite happy with these two products as well. I could see these being great in the winter for people who suffer from dry, irritated, and itchy skin. Be sure to stop in the skincare aisle the next time you’re at your local drugstore or supermarket and check out some products from CeraVe’s line. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!
