Christian Cowan and music superstar Lil Nas X are slated to unveil a unisex ready-to-wear collection that will benefit Atlanta’s Black Queer Community at New York Fashion Week. MAC Lead Artist, John Stepleton, worked alongside Christian Cowan to curate the beautiful looks for this collection.

The collection is inspired by the rebellious youth of the collaborators, and larger global community, who is yet again fighting against outdated world views. This modern-day era evokes similar feelings to the British punk movement of the 70’s, specifically when the same traditional values wouldn’t permit punk or queer events, bonding two diverse communities together.

The unisex collection will be sold exclusively on premier luxury destination retailer FWRD.com (FORWARD by Elyse Walker). The merch from the collection will also be sold on Christian Cowan, with 100% of those proceeds going to a new fund at the Loveland Foundation that benefits the young black queer community in Atlanta. As queer individuals, both Cowan and Nas are proud to use this as an opportunity to give back to those who have supported them.

“Supporting the queer community is so important to me, but as a small brand, we don’t normally have the ability to donate a lump sum of money like this. Nas and I both saw the opportunity to do something incredible together, especially as personal fans of the work Rachel Cargle does with the Loveland Foundation, it felt like a natural partnership. We are excited to be able to start a specific fund for black queer youth in the Atlanta community,” says Cowan.
