Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth: A Deodorant That Minimizes Appearance of Hair Growth!

Ah, Dove. They never stop trying to make our underarms prettier.

Their latest effort to this effect takes the form of Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth Anti-Perspirant ($3.49 at drugstores and at www.dove.com this May) With the new Pro-Epil complex, they promise to minimize the appearance of underarm hair after a few weeks of use.

The Pro-Epil Complex is a mixture of ingredients that contains the famous Dove 1/4 Translucent MoisturizersTM and sunflower oil. Within weeks of regular use, Dove promises that the Pro-Epil Complex¬† makes underarm hair feel softer, finer and easier to remove. While it doesn’t eliminate hair growth, the deodorant definitely made my hair softer and finer than a kabuki brush.

I do know that I love the scent – I am currently using their Wild Rose variety – it is a great, unfussy rose that I really cannot get enough of. My verdict: if you must wear deodorant anyway, why not this?
