The beauty industry has been buzzing about the launch of Lady Gaga‘s new perfume called Lady Gaga Fame Black Fluid. But they were even more excited about the launch event that took place last night at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
The dress code for the event was black tie masquerade — so, hundreds of guests were clad in their chic designer clothes, best adorned with black masks, crowns, tiaras or over-the-top hats. The invitation said that the lady herself would be performing “Sleeping With Gaga.” So, naturally, everyone thought that she created a new song to promote the fragrance and that she would perform live. But, leave it to Lady Gaga to literally sleep through the entire launch event! There was a giant perfume bottle in the middle of the floor of the museum space where the lady herself was sleeping inside. Fans lined up to slip their hand through a small hole in the giant fragrance bottle so that they could touch Lady Gaga‘s hand (hence “sleep with her”).
The fragrance itself was developed in the Haus Laboratories in Paris. The first ever black eau de parfum compounded by Lady Gaga. It’s black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne. The fragrance notes include:
Dark facet — Incense, Belladonna
Sensual facet — Apricot, Honey
Feminine facet — Jasmine Samac, Tiger Orchidea.
