The ‘ombre’ hair look has been around for a while. We were anticipating an important hair trend back in 2010 as celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Biel (pictured above) tried the two-tone, color streaming trend; as Spring/Summer 2011 came rolling in, the ombre look was here to stay with a new, colorful approach: the rainbow ombre, or, better known as hair color dunking the ends of the hair into different colors. Now, here at Beautystat, we are more than excited to introduce the ombre look that will be taking 2012 by storm: Combre, copper ombre!

For women who desire a more natural color, or those who aren’t exactly sure if they want to go lighter or darker, copper ombre is ideal for a subtle change,” says colorist Dana Ionato of Sally Hershberger Downtown.

Great for both blondes and brunettes, and also those looking for a more dramatic ombre, Combre is a bright or deep brown copper base fading to a lighter shade from the roots to the ends, or vice versa. Butterscotch, golden copper and apricot versions of Combre can be seen on trendsetting celebs like Blake Lively.

Perfect to complement most skin tones, brunettes can keep their deeper, darker copper-brown roots with lighter, brighter ends, as seen on A-listers such as Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Rachel Bilson and Jessica Biel. A rich chestnut color over a lighter shade to add contrast, gives an edge, keeps dimension and adds a new twist sure to stop heads everywhere.

So, tell us, will you be trying the new ombre look, the Combre, this spring?
