Jenna Dewan-Tatum looked stunning on the red carpet of her hubby’s premiere, Magic Mike XXL. Celebrity hair stylist, Bridget Brager used Goldwell products to match the strength and structure of Jenna’s dress, adding a bit of movement with a voluminous flat iron wave. See below for steps from Bridget on how to get Jenna’s look using Goldwell.
How To Get The Look:
To start, Bridget prepped Jenna’s damp hair with Goldwell Stylesign Top Whip Ultra Strong Volume Mousse for extreme volume.
Next, she used a boar bristle brush and a T3 blow dryer to dry the hair, making sure to over direct the hair for added volume. Once Jenna’s hair was dry, Bridget took 2-inch sections using a T3 1-inch flatiron to bend and wave the hair.
After her hair was set, Bridget sprayed Goldwell StyleSign Naturally Full Blow Dry and Finish Spray. Spraying it from the roots to ends in large sections, she then massaged the scalp to add texture and body before brushing her hair smooth with a wide tooth comb.
To finish her look, she used a dime sized amount of Goldwell Elixir Oil and scrunched it into the ends of her hair to add shine. Lastly, Bridget gave her hair a final spray of Goldwell Stylesign Big Finish Hairspray.
Another look we love is Janet Jackson‘s hair for the recent BET Awards. All eyes were on the singer, as she accepted the first ever BET Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award in stunning style from head to toe. From her breathtaking all white zippered ensemble, to her long, luscious waves, Ms. Jackson captured the audience with her beauty. Her hair stylist, Janet Zeitoun, who styled her for the event, describes how to re-create this stunning and carefree look below.
How To Get The Look:
First, start with clean, dry hair (prep with SOTAH Conditioning Shampoo – it offers a clean base for the style to be created). Apply a thermal protectant product to help prepare hair for high heat (such as Matrix Style Link Heat Buffer).
Next, establish the fullness first with a blow-dryer on high speed and medium heat without the nozzle (such as Sam Villa Professional Ionic Blow Dryer) – this allows the curls to establish a greater degree of varying curl patterns.
Hit the hair with different sized curling barrels (toggling between 3/4”, 1”, 1.5” tools), but not attending to each strand with the curling irons (this offers a more carefree, unstructured feel to the hair). Being inconsistent is the key.
After curls or wave patterns are established, begin lifting at the roots using the tips of the fingers and directing the blow dryer only at the roots creating extra volume (a volumizer such Serge Normant Meta Lush Volumizer can help achieve this). Note: with extreme hair textures, volumizer is not needed.
Finish with a dime size dollop of SOTAH Oil/Crème Therapy emulsified in the hands and placed to the top layer of the hair, to enhance shine and hydration.
