NYC Hair Finds--Phyto Universe Hosts "Pop Up" Halo Salon & Color Lab, December 14-18th

We’re big fans of Phyto Universe in New York, which is practically a jungle of hair goodness. Here, you can get your strands magnified under a powerful microscope, and find practically every tress solution you need…all the while knowing that the ingredients are beneficial and pure.

New York gals looking for a steal of hair service will rejoice in the new “pop up” halo salon and color lab, which takes root at Phyto from December 14-18th. Expert colorist, Jenna Rabideau, and her team of stylists, will be there to pamper your locks just as they do in Shear Genius, the professional version.

Services will include: Haircut & Blowdry ($195); Single Process Color ($125 and up); Retouch ($150) and more.

Where? It’s all happening at 715 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022, (212) 308-0270 people…so, just give a buzz, okay?

We also had a chance to catch up with Jenna Rabideau, the owner of Halo Salon & ColorLab (she flew in from Texas to spearhead the pop up) on some of the key hair trends for 2011. Here are her thoughts:

Q: What hair trends will we see in 2011?

A: “We are seeing a return to Classic looks that we all love, like the Barbie looks we used to play with… including the ballerina bun. As far as color is concerned, we’re going to see more free-handed color techniques including block techniques…all things that need very little maintenance.”

Q: Who is rocking it out on the red carpet?

A: “I love Ginnifer Goodwin…I think she is just gorgeous. And Dakota Fanning too– the latest editorial I’ve seen with her (Marie Claire August 2010)— is amazing. Her hair is very sophisticated.”

Q: What’s the one Phyto product no woman can be without?

A: Oh, that’s a hard question, but Phyto Defrissant for sure. I have naurally curly hair and the product I love is the defrissant.

Remember, New York gals (and visitors), to take advantage of this opportunity and call for your appointment now. The magic digits are (212) 308-0270.
