BeautyStat‘s resident ‘Curl Gurl’ is back! I recently received a box at work and opened it to find the new line of hair care products from Dr. Miracle’s Curl Care line for review (available at Sallybeauty.com, $8.99 each). The line comes in very durable, plastic bottles with very cute, pink packaging — and MAN do they smell delish (coconut meets minty gum!).

Clearly, my curls have a mind of their own and I let them run wild. They’ve seen their share of gel, but never curl creams until now. I would definitely buy these products again, as they promise 12-hour curl hold. Together with all the running around I do at the office and my crazy, hectic schedule, my curls held up great! Still bouncy and shiny. Make sure to check out my photos below after using all of these amazing products!

So, I gave these products a try this week and my curls remained intact even in New York’s first of many humid days yesterday. Here’s the listing of the complete line:

Rehydrating Shampoo – (with vitamins A, E & panthenol to rehydrate curls as it gently cleanses) This shampoo isn’t too sudsy, but still gives a great lather — which I need (can’t do lather-free, I need it!). The cool minty-ness of these products truly feel amazing, as if every pore in my hair was filled with peppermint ice cubes – love it! So refreshing!

Nourishing Conditioner – (with coconut, jojoba & vitamin E to moisturize condition and soften every curl) Softened my curls and hydrated them – made detangling a breeze (I can lose a comb in there EASILY!)

Boosting & Defining Leave-in Conditioner – (with jojoba & proteins to strengthen & moisturize as it boosts curl.) This you use on wet hair, right after shampoo and conditioning. Again, very minty and cooling. A plus in my book!

Soft Hold Creme – (with aloe to soften and improve elasticity as it keeps curls in place) Applied before the weightless crème, as a post conditioner. My hair felt oh-so soft.

Weightless Moisturizing Creme – (with coconut & vitamin E to nourish and soften) This is in my book the “gel”, but in crème form. I applied liberally to every strand and I could just see the curls forming — all bouncy and soft — even with my hair still wet!

Frizz Control Serum – (enriched with vitamins to fight tough humidity and frizz) You guys remember my How To Make Curly Hair Wavy and Straight: Before And After Photos article, where I reviewed John Freida Frizz Ease and took my hair from curly to straight? Well, for some reason this just didn’t work the same for me. If anything, it just made my hair look very shiny. Again, smells amazing – all 6 products do.

All in all, these hair products are great for my curly-haired friends out there. We know how tough it is trying to find the right products to give weightless moisture and bounciness to our curls, so why not give Dr. Miracle’s Curl Care line a try. All you got to lose is frizz!
