Summer is in full swing with the weather being hot and humid! I am almost wishing for winter to come back. My hair has been up in a bun for the past few weeks, and I have had no motivation to do anything with it.

NIOXIN is coming out with a new line of hair products meant for thinning, flat, lifeless hair. Read our preview of the new line coming soon —> HERE!

That is until TRUHAIR by Chelsea Scott shampoo, conditioner, root volumizing cream and teasing combs arrived. I set out (in spite of the heat wave) to see how it would all work out.

It’s just too hot outside for anything else but an updo!

I wanted to start out by telling all of you who are not familiar with Chelsea Scott (I was not) who she is: Chelsea Scott has been in the professional beauty industry for over 20 years.

She is a salon owner and beauty industry professional who wanted to give woman a haircare line that was easy to use, recreating the salon experience at home. She created the TRUHAIR line, which is the best-selling haircare line on HSN.

I washed and conditioned my hair with TRUHAIR Extreme Volume Shampoo ($17.50) & Extreme Volume Conditioner ($18.50). Both hair products smelled fresh and clean; I especially loved the way it created a great big, sudsy lather in my hair — it was like a foreshadowing of the volume to come.

The products’ ingredients include panthenol, biotin, and Actiplex Complex 194 (which includes hops, rosemary, goldenseal and witch hazel). I liked both the shampoo and conditioner for their scent, the consistency and how clean the lather made my hair feel.

Made with the same key ingredients, Raise the Roots Thickening Fiber Cream ($21.00) does exactly what the title infers. It’s a styling cream that gives a boost to your roots, helping to sculpt and style your hair while giving it extra volume and fullness. It can be used on damp or dry hair, and, when I used it, I could not believe the overall results!

Last but not least, let’s talk about the Tease Ease Extreme Volume Comb Set ($24.50). It includes two double-ended combs and TRUHAIR Shine & Hold Finishing Spray. I only reviewed the combs, which are made with rubber: one side is a sleek comb while the other is a pick.

I have extremely thick hair and this comb was very easy-to-use. It gave me such volume that I thought I was transported back to the ‘80s, when I had big, permed hair. This comb will be so effective for someone who has thin hair and wants to make it look thick.
