INGLOT FASHION FORWARD took place as part of NYFW at INGLOT Cosmetics studio in Chelsea Market. I was fortunate enough to attend a swanky soirée down at the INGLOT studio for Yoana Baraschi on the first day of NYFW.
INGLOT and CHI hair products were there on hand to attend to my every beauty need, while the gorgeous and talented Yoana Baraschi showed her AW ’14 Collection.
The hair and makeup for the models was simple, since the clothing was rich with texture and color. I on the other hand was lucky enough to get first class service to elevate my look to that of a supermodel! Okay, well, I felt like one anyway.
One product from INGLOT that the artist said was used for the show was the YSM or Young Skin Makeup Foundation. This foundation was so light and creamy. It blended well and made me look as if I had been on vacation! I noticed that all the makeup artists at the show used this foundation for all of the models to have that fresh look!
I was also fortunate enough to have my tresses tended to by the CHI hair team! Loose buns and ponytails ruled the studio. My stylist for the evening gave me the 411 on top products that every stylist uses!
First up is the CHI Dura Dryer with ultra-violet light. This dryer is special because it disinfects the air that goes in to dry your hair. All the air that goes into the dryer gets disinfected and then dries your tresses to guarantee a perfect blow-out!
The next product that every gal needs in this heated-up hair world is the 44 Iron Guard. This
product is amazing! It can be used for drying, curling, straightening… whatever torture your hair
endures, this product will ensure it will be protected. After my stylist sprayed it on my hair, he
began to blow-dry my hair (with a ceramic round brush — another tip!) and within minutes, I had
gorgeous, flowing locks! No deep-fry here, just lush tresses.
While we were backstage, there were some other hair innovations that caught our eye. How about this Japan-made, collapsable diffuser we saw at the AW ’14 Sass & Bide show with MAC Cosmetics. Truly a sight to behold, since we are so used to seeing clunky, plastic diffusers that weigh a ton.
This diffuser is made out of metal mesh for easy travel, and comes in small and large sizes. It is also good for static elimination and reduces drying time. So many backstage secrets! The lovely hairstylists happily told me that it’s called the YS Park Ion Diffuser and can be found at Shear World hair supply store in NYC. You can also find it online at www.shearworld.com.
