Are you ready for a brow makeover? We spend a good majority of our time scouring Celebrity Makeup Artist and Brow Expert Ramy Gafni’s Facebook page, as he routinely posts Before/After photos of his clients. Some of these brow makeovers are
life-changing face-changing, and as Ramy says, “the bigger the mess they bring me, the more perfect I can make their eyebrows.”
We asked Ramy to give us some of his favorite tips to growing out our eyebrows, how to shape them and the best arches for our face shapes — all with the help of his Top 3 Favorite Eyebrow Makeovers. It’s like Extreme Makeover for your eyes, beauties!
“I shaped her brows by opening up her arches by removing the hair directly under where her brows peak on her bone structure. I kept the lines of her brows straight, which also flatters her bone structure, and I removed some hairs from above the brows that were “fuzzying” things up — this gives the eyebrow a bolder appearance.
Then, I filled in her brows with my Perfect Brow Wand and brushed through to remove excess product and blend for a natural-looking finish. Lastly, I added the highlighter from the Perfect Brow Wand along the underside of her eyebrows and blended it out using my finger. The highlighter not only emphasizes the arch, but the contrast of the highlighter against the eyebrow makes the brow look more substantial.”
“I found this woman’s wallet on New Year’s Eve. When she came to retrieve it, we agreed she needed to grow in her eyebrows and then come see me. She grew in her brows for 2 months, and while they had grown substantially, they were still slightly sparse-looking and way too round in shape to suit her face.
I trimmed the excess length, then tweezed the obvious strays from below the brows. I then tweezed away the hairs that were giving her brows a rounded appearance. By straightening out the line of her eyebrows, I also gave her eyes a visual lift. The end result also compliments her bone structure. I filled in her brows with the Perfect Brow Wand, which is universally flattering and comes in just the one shade for every hair color and skintone!”
“I love this photo because there is no makeup involved and the photo is untouched! This girl grew in her eyebrows all summer before going away to college. I call this ‘Going Back To Square One’ and really growing in the eyebrows to their natural state. I always tell people that the bigger the mess they bring me, the more perfect I can make their eyebrows.”
