Stars were dressed to impress last night at the 72nd Golden Globes. And while the gown, shoes, and bling might take center stage, a leading lady’s makeup choices are arguably of equal importance. (Seriously, just try to picture yourself in a $30 thousand dollar dress sans mascara and lipstick—it doesn’t work.) Luckily, celebrities have the best makeup artists painting their faces—giving them the glowing skin, smoky eyes, and luscious lips we, at home, pine for. So get out your blush brush and take some notes. Here are a few of our favorite looks of the night.
Step 1: Moisturize the skin and apply Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation.
Step 2: Use Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Abundance, to lightly contour cheeks to accentuate the color. Add an intense flush to the apples of cheeks by applying Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Blaze topped with Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow in Fira – Mango.
Step 3: Create an eye base using Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Black Karat. Smudge Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Gilded Gold on upper lids. Roughly line the upper and lower lash lines using Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Noir. Curl lashes with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, and coat twice using Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara.
Step 4: Apply Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Color in Merlot topped with a gold gloss for a luminous sheen.
Step 1: Prep skin with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

Next, mix two of the darker shades of the same palette in the crease, concentrating on the outside corners and a bit on the lower lash. Brush a bit of Dior Blush in Cocktail Peach #553 on lids. Dab on Dior’s long-wearing cream shadow in Chimere over the entire lid to give it a shimmer.
Step 3: Apply Diorskin Star Foundation followed by Diorskin Star Brightening Concealer to cover any little imperfections or redness.
Step 4: Apply Dior Lipstick #169 Grege with just a bit of the new Rouge Dior Lipshine in #808 on top.

With an eye smudger brush, use the pop shade along the top of the lash line to intensify and add depth and definition.
Step 3: Apply Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes in Glossy Black heavily on the top lashes, with light strokes on the bottom lashes.

Step 4: Curl lashes with a Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler before applying a light coat of Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara in Glossy Black.
Step 5: Use Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation all over face, and Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Concealer as needed. To highlight, use Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow along the top of cheekbones and the bridge of her nose.
