For Fall 2013, NARS introduces Eye Paint ($25.00), a must-have for beauty lovers who want to elevate their eye look. Don’t let their small size fool you! These small pots house some heavy-duty pigment!

Applied as eyeliner, the pigment glides on very easily, although I found Ubangi (a shimmery navy that might appear violet at times) shade to require another layer to achieve complete opaque perfection.

Interstellar is just too glitzy and glam not to be brushed all over the lid. The gel formula is creamy and smooth, but allows you to have decent control.

I used a flat concealer brush to pack on the color, but this silvery metallic shade will also look great on top of some black eyeliner as well. I think a brush is your best bet when using these Eye Paints to give you adequate application precision.

The shade I was most excited to use was Soloman Islands, a matte turquoise shade that has a deeper tone to it than how it looks in the pot. The color is extremely wearable for everyday, and, as seen in my photos, the color pairs well with a darker shade (like Ubangi) for a double-winged eye look.

Available NOW are two NEW additions to the NARS 413 BLKR Cosmetics Collection: deep rose/brown lipstick & midnight blue nail polish. See PHOTOS —> HERE!

I would say it is best to work fast with these Eye Paints — it’s not that they dry and crack, but the formula is meant to last for a long time (18-hours!), so it sets very quickly. The swatches I took didn’t even budge with soap and water, but required some elbow grease when using a makeup remover towelette.

When used as eyeliner, pair with the New Angled Eyeliner Brush #38 ($26.00) for a perfectly defined eye. Comes in 10 shades for a full range of artistry. Ophthalmologist-tested.
