As soon as I saw the prelaunch press news for these, I knew I had to review them. Oscar de la Renta launched three New Fall 2013 Color Nail Lacquers ($22.00 each), based on those gorgeous dresses I saw floating down the runway — I had been hopeful these new polishes would be as colorful and eye-catching (ex. Deborah Lippman’s Nail polishes and Zoya’s Nail Polishes) as those stunning dresses.

Available in Covet, which is a luscious mulberry; Dare, an exotic teal and Asphalt, a brilliant charcoal, these new limited-edition shades were created exclusively for the runway and the designer’s online clientele! These three new shades are exclusively available at www.oscardelarenta.com!
They are chip-resistant, have high-shine and are toluene-, formaldehyde- and DBP-free. Each nail lacquer was chosen by Mr. de la Renta himself, so when you wear them, it’s like you are wearing a signature Oscar de la Renta piece! On the day they launched I went immediately to the store on Fifth Avenue to see if they were even in the window, but, I was told by the store’s manager they were available exclusively online… and that they are! On a side note, I did catch a glimpse of the designer himself while in the store, so that was worth the trip alone!
