Clarins has got you covered this Fall 2013 with their New Graphic Expression Collection, including a lash-enhancing mascara and triple point liner, mineral-enriched eyeshadows and super-lustrous lipsticks in copper and dusty rose shades.
Don’t forget to firm up those eyes and diminish dark circles as you conceal with Instant Concealer and hydrate with the Extra-Firming Eye Wrinkle Smoothing Cream. Read on to get your most perfect skin and makeup for the Fall 2013 season!
Clarins Graphic Expression Face & Blush Powder ($35.00) — Holds 3 harmonious colors to enhance and mattify the complexion. The smooth texture sweeps over the face evenly to brighten and illuminate.
It provides a subtle hint of bronze color that is perfect for light skintones. The pinky shade (reminiscent of NARS Orgasm Blush) gives off a healthy dose of color. Unfortunately, that beautiful strip of glittery gold disappears upon first application.
Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette ($42.00) — These super-silky and easy-to-blend mineral eyeshadows contain 2 base colors (Kaki and Taupe), a liner shade (Intense Bronze) and a highlighter (Beige Illuminator) to create a subtle green smoky eye for day or night.
Taupe is a buildable brown shade that makes eyes look instantly enticing; I love applying Beige Illuminator to the middle of the eyelid to give off some subtle sparkle without the fallout.
Clarins Crayon Kohl ($25.00) — Long-lasting eye pencils in 8 shades bring Fall 2013 color trends to life on your eyes! These pencil eyeliners are not too soft or too hard, and apply over the
Eye Quartet Mineral Palette beautifully — and even better on their own.
Unique and intense shades include Intense Blue, Bronze, Taupe, Intense Violet, Intense Black, Smoky Plum, Platinum and Intense Brown. If you’re ready to make a change with your eyeliner color, these are the liners to try.
I keep on gravitating towards Bronze and use the double-ended pencil’s brush to smudge it out, brushing any eyeliner residue down to the lower lash line for a daytime smoky eye.
Clarins 3-Dot Liner ($26.00) — Back by popular demand, this triple point eyeliner fills in the space between lashes for a precise line every time. It takes some getting used to, as you are pressing the liner in between your lashes rather than drawing a line.
Enriched with a Be Long Lash Complex that boosts lash growth, this liner will enable you to achieve a defined yet natural-looking eye look.
Be Long Mascara ($25.00) — Get instantly longer, curled and separated lashes thanks to this new angled brush! The plastic bristled brush is quite small in appearance, but boy does it pack a punch! With its Be Long Complex, a study showed that after 4 weeks of use, lashes increased in length by an average of 1.1mm!
Available in Black and Brown, the brush grasps lashes from base to tip. It even gets into the inner corners, fanning out lashes evenly. You wouldn’t expect this little mascara brush to make lashes look so long and curled. And in its sleek, matte gold packaging, this is going to be my favorite mascara for fall.
Clarins Joli Rouge Lipsticks ($26.00) — These creamy colors for fall still give off subtle shine and stunning color. Pink Camellia, Spicy Cinnamon and Royal Plum capture the colors of fall for a more neutral lip.
As compared to the brand’s summer release of the Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balms, these colors have more long-lasting color. Maxi Lip Complex helps plump and hydrate for full, soft and supple lips. I love the heavy, silver bullet-like packaging — and a strip of color at the bottom to determine which shade you’re grabbing.
Instant Concealer ($30.00) — Get rid of tired eyes for a smoothing and long-lasting bright-eyed appearance. Dark circles are instantly hidden along with a reduction in eye puffiness.
Light-Optimizing + Complex includes corrective pigments to magnify light in order to blur imperfections. Aloe vera extract soothes and hydrates the contours of the eye, while caffeine stimulates skin’s micro-circulation to reduce signs of fatigue.
Specialized shades work on the surface to cancel out dark circles: 01 is for fair skin with blue dark circles; 02 is for medium skin (worked extremely well for me!) with brown-violet dark circles; 03 for medium skin types with brown-black circles and 04 for deeper skintones for brown-black circles.
The formula has a very liquid consistency that melts right into skin. Not a lot is needed due to the amount of pigments, and there is no cakey residue left around the eye area settling into fine lines. The eye becomes incredibly smooth-looking, hydrated and even. Love it!
Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Wrinkle Smoothing Cream ($60.00) — Clarins’ patented Extra-Firming Complex includes organic green banana and lemon thyme to deliver immediate lift and firming results. The complex helps reinforce the links between collagen fibers, elastic fibers and cells.
With this smoothing eye cream, wrinkles are prevented and become firm with essential rose wax and organic blackcurrent to smooth; vitamin E to prevent and correct wrinkles.
I need a good eye cream and go through them like they’re going out of fashion. With the cooler months coming, this formula is rich but light.
Even at 24-years-old, who doesn’t want their eyes to look firmer. I even have those fine lines under my eyes that only get worse as we age. I experienced no irritation whatsoever, and the bouncy formula instantly soothes my tired eyes before bed.
