Wouldn’t you want to know what is singer Mya’s favorite bronzer? Celebrities have access to every beauty line under the sun, so when I heard that Mya’s go-to bronzer comes from the new Swedish line Manasimakeup®, I was thrilled to see what this brand was all about.

Manasimakeup is an independent Swedish makeup collection founded by professional celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist Susanne Persson. Manasi has received top reviews from the biggest Nordic and British beauty blogs, and has been featured as one of the best makeup lines in Elle, Cosmopolitan, DV, Rodeo and Plaza Kvinna.

All of Manasimakeup´s products contain no animal, raw ingredients, mineral oils or phthalates. Persson is currently in the process of expanding her product selection, offering hair products and many other new additions to the line.

I was sent the infamous LYSTER Cream Bronzer ($55.00) and the SILKE Ultrafine Finishing Powder ($57.00).

Manasi’s LYSTER Cream Bronzer was created by Persson to deliver an effect that no other bronzer on the market can provide: color, glow and light coverage — all in one. It can be used on the face (cheekbones, nose, temples and chin), or smoothed all over the body for a sun-kissed glow.

It can easily be blended out for a sheer wash of color, or applied heavily for a deeper tanned effect. Mya officially loves the LYSTER Cream Bronzer and uses it frequently both on photo shoots and during performances.

I used this product on my face and collarbone. I applied it using circular motions with my fingers and also a brush. It has a delicious, chocolatey scent with a slight shimmer. It went on very smoothly and stayed on all day long. Unlike powder bronzers that can look dirty on your face, this cream formula enhances skin, giving it a subtle glow.

It is so light and smooth, it is essentially a mousse. The great thing about this bronzer is that it works in different ways, adapting to different skin tones: those with fair skin can use the LYSTER as a full-on bronzer, while people with olive skin can use it to add a healthy shimmer; those with darker skintones benefit from the LYSTER by using it as a highlighting product rather than a bronzer.

I also tried the SILKE Ultrafine Finishing Powder, which came with a velour satin powder puff. This loose powder is 100% natural, eco-friendly and totally sheer. It is lightweight and completely invisible over makeup.

The powder’s unique formula is transparent when applied onto the skin, as it adapts to any skintone and type. The company says to use it directly on bare, moisturized skin or after applying LYSTER Cream Bronzer, concealer or foundation.

What makes SILKE special is that “it not filled with cheap additives or preservatives, so it is a very concentrated and fine-grained powder. The sole ingredients (silica and sericite) are all made from natural earth elements. Silica is transparent and offers a smooth, semi-matte, silky finish. It is highly absorbent and is used for shine control and reduces the appearance of fine lines.”

I applied this powder on top of my finished makeup look. It is very loose and easy-to-apply. It has no scent and because it has no pigment, it sits colorless on skin, which did not mess up or blend the various products on my face.

Because I had a lovely glow from my bronzer and highlighter, I was pleased that the powder did not dim those elements on my skin. It left a sheer, matte finish that lasted for hours as an amazing moisture repellent.

Overall, I am excited to see more from Manasi. As the company grows it is sure to offer many more products for everyday use. Because of Persson’s professional experience, she understands what products are missing in the beauty market and strives to perfect each product so that it can be a fully functional, go-to line for all beauty lovers.
