I love the black and silver compact, and how the sponge does not sit on top of the powder -– it is conveniently kept in a separate compartment.
The formula goes on easily, leaving behind a buildable coverage that does not look cakey. Apply with the sponge for full coverage, or use a brush to build your desired level.
It is so lightweight, too! It is formulated without mineral oil, paraffin, parabens and fragrance. As promised, the formula doesn’t crease or transfers anywhere else but your skin.
There are 17 shades. It is a thoughtful shade range with every undertone represented. Light 45 is my perfect match. I tried the entire light shade range (consisting of 5 shades). There are 8 medium shades and 4 deep shades to choose from.
I applied this product two ways: once as a stand-alone power foundation on top of sunscreen,
moisturizer and a makeup primer as recommended. I started to show some shine after 5-hours, so I blotted and touched up – good as new!
Then, I used this powder as a touch-up throughout the day: In the morning, I applied my sunscreen, moisturizer and liquid foundation. Then, I used Lock-It Tattoo Powder Foundation as a touch-up powder throughout the day.
My makeup lasted through the entire work day and into an after work event. Wear was good for a little over 14-hours.
The Unlock-It Makeup Remover Wipes ($15.00) promise to remove long-wearing formulas with ease.
They are excellent at removing eye makeup and this long-wearing powder foundation. The wipes are very soft and are made of biodegradable natural material, and are safe for sensitive skin.
