Makeup Review, Swatches: Revlon Pacific Coast Spring/Summer 2013 Collection - Gucci Westman

I am a native New Jerseyan, and not being sure that the Jersey Shore will be up and running this summer makes me sad. However, this new Revlon Pacific Coast Collection by Gucci Westman brings the shore to me! All of the shades are exotic and beachy, bringing faces around the world an island vibe!

The products in this collection include two Colorstay 16 Hour Eye Shadow ($7.49), Colorburst Lip Butter ($7.49), Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel ($7.99), Baby Stick For Lips and Cheeks ($8.99) and Colorstay Crème Gel Eyeliner in White Mist. The Gel Eyeliner and Baby Stick products are limited-edition, so if you love them, get’em now!

My two favorite products in the collection are the Colorstay Eye Shadow Quads and the Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel. The Colorstay Eye Shadow Quads come in two sunny, wearable shades: Sea Mist (pictured) and Free Spirit.

Sea Mist can be worn a few different ways: it includes peach, emerald, blue and aubergine shades. I love to put the peach on my lid, use the emerald in my crease and add the aubergine for extra definition… then, I lightly wash the blue in the crease. Use with a black liner and voilà! A smoldering eye for a hot summer night!

Free Spirit contains a tan, black, periwinkle and cobalt shade to color your world. These shades are very easy-to-use, as you can build up the color or just use as a soft wash depending on your taste.

My next favorite products are the Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel. They come in all sorts of colors, and they last forever. I will even go as far as saying they last longer than some prestige brands. More bang for your buck, gals! Pictured on my nails is the shade Sunburst, a bright tangerine. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then try Tradewinds (soft beige), Seashell (light pink) or Jungle (deep emerald).

Baby Stick for Lips & Cheeks is a cute lil’ color stick, which is great for a pop of quick color. Great for the gal on the go, us NYC gals are always on the subway running from one event to another, so this is perfect. Also, when you’re at the beach you don’t even have to have to use a mirror to put it on. The shade that is pictured is Tahitian; the other shades are Pink Passion and Sunset.

If you have cheeks you also have to have lips. Colorburst Lip Butter is a product sure to keep your puckers soft and hydrated. They wear really well, and will look so fresh on a hot summer night. The shade you see on my hand is Wild Watermelon; also available is Juicy Papaya, Pink Lemonade and Sorbet — a shade for everyone! Well done, Gucci Westman. I can’t wait to be be a tropical beauty this spring!
