Essence is a brand that has gained a lot of attention in the last few years. They produce some great quality makeup for affordable prices!
The item that I am the most excited about is the Essence Blush Up! Powder Blush, $3.99. I have this in the shade Pinky Flow (also available in Heat Wave). On one side of Pinky Flow there is a hot pink blush and it ombres into a lighter pink blush. This blush provides a little bit of a glow without being overwhelming. It’s a great every day color.
I have also tried the Essence I Love Extreme Waterproof Volume Mascara, $4.99. You can also buy this product in a non-waterproof version. This mascara contains ultra black pigments which cover each lash. The brush is quite large in order to give you volume. I love this mascara and its formula. I find that it does give you nice volume; however, I’m not a fan of waterproof mascaras. This was rather difficult to remove. However, if your lashes don’t stay curled, you might enjoy this in the waterproof version.
Essence now has Liquid Lipsticks, $3.49, available in 6 different shades! The shade that I have is called Show Off! This formula combines the best of both lipstick and lip gloss. You get the impact and coverage of a lipstick with the moisturizing shine of a gloss. This is not a liquid lipstick but rather more of a lip gloss. It’s not sticky and is rather smooth on the lips. The wear time is about as long as a regular lip gloss.
Another product I was excited to see is the Essence Smokey 2 in 1 Khol Liner in the shade Smokey Black. This product retails for $3.49 available in two shades: white or black. This liner glides on effortlessly as a silky liner or even a blendable shadow. The texture is creamy and the pigmentation is rich. I did not have to tug at all to apply this product. I find the wear time to be excellent as well!
The last product that I tried was the Essence The Gel Nail Polish in the shade Wild White Ways. These polishes retail for $1.99 and come in 16 different shades. They provide incredible gel shine with no lamp required! Color crush technology ensures high intensity color impact and coverage.

Overall, I really enjoy these products and I am excited to check out some more of Essence’s line. By the way, none of their products are tested on animals, so that’s a plus!
