(Photos & Results) My 7 Day Experiment with CoverGirl's LipPerfection Lipsticks

Remember the CoverGirl LipPerfection seven day challenge we said I’d take? Well, it happened, people. For the past week, I’ve been wearing CoverGirl lipsticks exclusively, one per day. The lipsticks promise to moisturize like none other and actually transform your lips over seven days. That’s a big claim! We couldn’t wait to put these claims to the test.

So, every day, I took a picture of myself wearing a lipstick in the same place in my garden. Here are the shots and my comments below:

Day One: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “SoulMate 320,” a Lilac/ Mauve

I absolutely love this frosty shade. It’s one of my favorites and works well with skin of darker tones.

Day Two: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Impassion 215,” a Brown

Day Two: CoverGirl LipPerfection in "impassion"

Browns actually work better with darker skin tones than pinks. Impassion has a frosty/metallic finish that works well for both day and evening. By the second day, my lips felt comfortably hydrated.

Day Three: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Precious 315,” a Lilac/ Mauve / Burgundy shade

This is just a hint of shade, a great choice if you’re wearing a loud outfit or colors. By the third day, my lips had never felt so soft!

Day Four: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Enthrall 225,” a Brown

This brown may well be my favorite. It doesn’t have the same frost quality as Impassion and gives off a stronger hue.

Day Five: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Captivate 230,” a Brown

This brown has a pink undertone to it, so it’s almost plum colored. Another one of my favorites. By day give, my lips needed no chapstick or extra hydration whatsoever. I could just wear the lipsticks every day and be fine with it.

Day Six: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Enchantress 365,” a Lilac/ Mauve/ Burgundy

After believing that pinks and darker skin really don’t go hand in hand, I was thrown a curveball by Enchantress which is technically classified as a Lilac/ Mauve/ Burgundy but it definitely is more of a pink to me. It’s on the slightly too frosty side for me, but works well for a glam look in the evening.

Day Seven: CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Temptress 400,” a Pinks to Roses

And another of the pinks that I could pull off, but never thought I would. This shade is a bubblegum pink and really surprises when it’s worn on the lips.

The verdict? I’m sold on the transformational factor. I really and truly felt that my lips went through a hydration machine after wearing these lipsticks seven days in a row. They are worth every penny and then some. Shop for them at your local drugstore and check out the range of shades online. Trust me, you’ll be hooked. I am.
