Review, Before/After Photos, Swatches: Beth Ditto For MAC Collection – Outrageous Colors For An Everyday Look

I was so very excited to finally review the Beth Ditto M·A·C Collection (which will ONLY be available from 6/7-6/19!) after hearing about it months and months ago. The collection is colorful and I couldn’t wait to translate the Picasso-esque ad campaign into a real, wearable look. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all of the color options before me, and wanted our readers to see that there are many options in this collection. Beautystat had just released the preview for the entire collection, so I am reviewing what I was given to sample. With that being said, I looked over what had been given to me to create my look…

It is because I love our readers/fans and also because I want to show others how anyone can wear the collection that I show you what I look like sans makeup. So often we see retouched ads with eyelash inserts on models and celebrities and you know we do neither here at Beautystat. So, this is me before and this is me after wearing… Booyah! M·A·C Pro Longwear Lipcreme ($17.00) on my lips, Beth or Glory Shade & Smoke Shadow/Liner ($22.00), Blue Charge Zoom Lash Mascara ($15.00) and Entertain Me Lip Pencil ($14.00). I decided to go for a brighter palette, as I was feeling a bit off and was very delighted with how easily the products applied all around.

The liners have dual ends of color for the ultimate smokey eye look; I used the colors just as they were and normally would not have paired blue and brown together, yet I liked the finished look. I like that one side is considered a “greasepaint liner” while the other is an eyeshadow. The mascara color was also so fun to wear in blue for a change. One coat sweeped my lashes and showed a hint of cobalt. Especially in the daylight, I noticed the pop of color!

Powder to the People ($38.00) can be used on the eyes with just the dots for some accented color to highlight. M·A·C has always, in my opinion, been about embracing one’s own individuality and this collection allows you to explore — I applaud them once again for choosing a spokesperson that personifies their brand so well! These limited edition collections seem to sell out quickly, so be sure to purchase what you want as soon as you can! Happy beauty exploring! Available at M·A·C boutiques and Maccosmetics.com.

Its nice to see such exotic hues for a summer look other than the usual earthtones and corals. Kudos to MAC for being different.
