I have known of and tried Jane Iredale products on several occasions, and I’ve always been a fan. I love it when companies take the time to put so much thought and effort into their products. And I especially love that the products from Jane Iredale are mineral-based.

When I received the box, I was greeted by a lovely note from Jane and a sprig of lavender from her garden — a personal touch she used to do in the past before her business had grown tremendously. It is a practice she plans to continue once again. Little details are important to me, just as much as the product itself.

Jane Iredale PureMoist Lipstick, available in 24 shades. I received Kaylee – a gorgeous, matte nude, mauve-toned lipstick. This gorgeous shade glides on effortlessly and leaves my lips feeling moisturized and soft. These lipsticks are definitely a mineral lipstick; you can feel the benefits on your lips almost immediately.

Some of the ingredients include: moringa oil (to moisturize), orange peel wax, avocado and sunflower seed oils (for a luxuriously conditioned, quenched feeling for the lips), and vitamins A and C with coffee seed extract infused in for antioxidant protection.

The color I received applied sheer, but can be layered on for a deeper, richer shade. The color feels like a lip balm on your lips. It is not kiss-proof, so you may require reapplying after eating or drinking as well. Packaging is cute and you can easily see the color of the lipstick you are getting through the clear cap.

Jane Iredale PureLash Mascara is the ideal for highly sensitive eyes and has a mild, water-resistant formula. It comes in a dark black shade (black onyx), which I love, and the wand is nice and easy to work with when applying to my lashes. Since I have small lashes, it took me a little while to build the mascara up to the consistency that I was looking for so that my lashes would be noticeable.

My lashes felt very soft (not stiff and crunchy); this mascara would work well for everyday looks. Ingredients include seaweed liposomes and panthenol to keep your lashes moist and nourished. Algae extract protects your lashes to reduce splitting and breakage.

For you long-lashed beauties, this mascara will definitely work well separating your lashes for great definition and leave them soft after application. The tube’s packaging is gorgeous – very sleek and chic.

Jane Iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in Champagne is a gorgeous, neutral, cream-colored shade that is perfect for all over the lid and brow bone as a highlight (which is how I prefer to use it). These shadows are crease-resistant, long-wearing, mineral-pressed eyeshadows, available in 80 shades (including 15 new shades as of Fall 2013). Featured ingredients include: boron nitride, which adheres, glides and diffuses light and pine bark extract, which protects delicate skin and calms inflammation.

Most of all, what I love most about these shadows is that many of the colors are universal and can be used both wet and dry; to fill in your brows; applied on your cheeks as blush (Champagne makes a great cheek highlighter!) and even on lips as a stain.
