Cover Girl has released a new foundation as well as a new mascara!
Let’s start with the Cover Girl Total Tease Mascara, $10, which gives you full, long, refined, sexy, teased lashes. The Total Tease Mascara darkens and thickens lashes for maximum lash definition. The specialized detailing tip allows for no-mess targeted application and gives you a precise tease. It is also available in a waterproof version. There are a few shades available: Very Black, Black, Black Brown, Brown, and Deep Blue. The shade I have is Black.
The first things I noticed about this mascara were the super cute packaging and an extremely unique brush. The brush is made of rubber bristles, which only entirely coat one side. The other side has two small rows of bristles at the very end. This can be a little tricky to apply at first but once you get used to it, it becomes much easier.
I find that this formula, on me, really gears towards separating the lashes and lengthening. It wasn’t very difficult to remove at all either. (I do not have the waterproof formula.) It didn’t flake or smudge throughout the day at all, which is a mega plus.
The Cover Girl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation, $12, is infused with Vitamins E, B3, B5 plus SPF 20 for correction, protection, and perfection all in one. The foundation claims to be full coverage, while giving your skin a healthy glow. I have this foundation in the shade Classic Ivory. There is a nice variety of shades according to the Cover Girl website.
I found this foundation to be very lightweight, which I can appreciate! With one layer (approximately two pumps from the bottle) it gave me medium coverage. Adding another layer didn’t look cakey and gave me full coverage. Thank you for the pump Cover Girl! I love when foundations come with a pump. I have oily skin, throughout the day, I felt the need to powder my nose area but other than that, it wore absolutely beautifully. I think this foundation will be a great hit for the summer since it is so lightweight. If you have dry skin, you might really enjoy this!
Overall, I am pleased with both of these products from Cover Girl. I can’t wait to see what else they launch.
