If there’s any one beauty product that is a staple for me, it’s a good lipgloss. I have lipglosses in my purse… my car… workout bag… everywhere! I never leave home without one, which is why I was so glad to hear that one of my favorite beauty brands, Bite, had released a new lipgloss collection, the Deconstructed Rose Lip Gloss Library.
The library contains 12 mini-glosses that are each inspired by roses. Each gloss is also lightly scented with a gentle rose scent that smells so divine. I have to be honest, I began to swatch some of the lipglosses and there were a few that I really couldn’t tell apart. Out of the 12 colors the set came with, I tried on my favorite 7 based on my skintone and which colors I thought would stand out best on me.
The lipglosses are very thick. There are pros and cons to thicker lip glosses: Thick glosses tend to last longer, which is ideal if you don’t want to reapply for a few hours. On the other hand, sometimes I prefer glosses with a thinner consistency to layer over another lipstick. Overall, I do recommend these glosses for those days you need some long-wear coverage! Let’s get to the swatches!
One (light pink/mauve)
Two (rosy pink)
Seven (dusty coral)
Nine (apple red)
Eleven (dark red)
Twelve (deep fuchsia)
