Review, Swatches: Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35 - Brightens, Balances, Renews, Protects In 5 Shades

BB Creams, if you haven’t noticed, are all the rage these days. Women have demanded good coverage, yet a texture that doesn’t make them feel as if they’re being suffocated. There are many products out on the market. However, I couldn’t wait until the Queen of Foundation herself, Bobbi Brown, came out with her own BB Cream SPF 35 ($42.00).

One thing that stands out to me about this product: how little you need. Less than a dime-size amount should be plenty to cover your whole face. If you need a little more, I like to wait a minute or two in between applications for the best finish. The BB cream comes in five skin tone, corrective shades; the shade pictured is Fair. I am a 2.5 – 3 in Bobbi foundations depending if I have color — and this works perfectly.

Bobbi Brown‘s BB Cream has an SPF of 35, so no worry about damaging your skin. The cream also has other ingredients such as:

Scutellaria Extract – helps to reduce the appearance of discolorations and dark spots for a brighter, more even skin tone

Argireline – a natural peptide which helps collagen production

Caffeine & Sucrose – to reduce inflammation and irritation associated with blemishes

You can apply this product as you do any foundation, with either your fingers, brush or sponge. On myself, I prefer my fingers — I use less and I like the finish better. Available at Nordstrom, Bobbi Brown stores and www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com.
