Recently, I had the chance to try out Laura Mercier‘s NEW Foundation Primer – Radiance Bronze. First of all, I don’t use foundation AT ALL. So, I was a bit freaked out when I saw this. Due to my severely sensitive skin, and the fact that I spent the last two years perfecting how my skin is now, I was a bit hesitant.
I applied the Foundation Primer, which, by the way is not white in tone as you would expect from most primers on the market; it very easily blended into my skin with my fingers without difficulty. The primer has a bronze hue to it and when applied reminded me of a liquid bronzer.
“This foundation primer is enriched with Jojoba Oil and Vitamins A, C and E and kisses the skin with a golden pearl tint creating a soft-focus, fresh-from-the sun finish.”
This primer is a hydrating, water-based gel that preps the skin with a healthy glow and creates the perfect canvas for makeup application. Since I don’t use foundation, I used this primer on its own and tested it throughout the day.
My skin was left with a light, sun-lit glow of warmth, leaving behind an almost dewy finish. I didn’t have any breakouts or flare-ups with my eczema, and my skin seemed to be hydrated for most of the day. If I were to use foundation, I think this would be a great addition to my foundation application.
I also tried out the Laura Mercier Lip Glacéin the NEW shade, Tulip. It is no secret that I have been an addict of Laura Mercier Lip Glacés for a while now — Bare Naked and Blush being my favorites. So I was so excited to be trying out a new shade and tone I have not yet tried from the line.
Tulip is a gorgeous rose-hued pink suitable for most skintones. Pigmented with a gorgeous shine, it’s long-lasting without that sticky mess. This shade is a great one to use year-round, but especially beautiful to rock out during the spring and summer months. You can find 26 shades total (13 of them being new this season) where Laura Mercier products are sold.
“Long-lasting colour and brilliant shine that creates the appearance of fuller lips. Any skintone is virtually enhanced by creating a subtle contrast in texture.”
Overall, I am always impressed with what Laura Mercier has to offer. If you are looking for a foundation primer that will offer you a little bit of a sun-kissed glow that hydrates and preps for foundation, or a gorgeous lipgloss that makes your lips look and feel awesome, these will definitely be great additions to your makeup collection.
