Review, Swatches, Makeup Trends 2018, 2019: Gallany Cosmetics Mosaic Eyeshadow Palette

If you’re like me, you’re constantly on the hunt for the next perfect palette. I was able to try the recently launched Mosaic Palette by Gallany Cosmetics. This palette contains 15 eyeshadows and 4 cheek shades, which you can use as blushes, blush toppers, or highlighters. The palette claims to be universally flattering, easy to use, and highly pigmented with maximum payoff. Gallany also claims this palette is appropriate for all seasons and is a multi-look palette!

As you glance at these shades, I definitely feel like it’s appropriate for all seasons. There is more cool than warm toned in this palette, but you do get several nice shades. The oranges and warmer browns at the top will allow you to create a nice warm look while the cooler blue and green tones at the bottom allow you to achieve coolness when you want to. You do get a nice sized mirror on the inside of the palette as well. You also get four cheek products on the bottom portion of the palette. Two of them are definitely highlighters. One is more shimmery and the other is more metallic. There are two blush shades in this palette, a shimmery coral-pink and a more dusty pink.

I’ve created several looks with this palette. The color payoff for each shade is very nice. The more shimmery and metallic shades pack more of a punch when it comes to swatching, but they all apply very nice and smooth on the eyes. There is little to no kick up when you dip a brush into the palette and very minimal fallout. The colors blend together very easily to create a variety of seamless looks – so I think this palette is perfect for the makeup beginner or makeup expert. I also think this palette can take you from day to night – truly a multi-tasking palette.

The two blush shades are swatched in the middle while the two highlighter shades are at the top and bottom. I do enjoy using the shimmery blush shade as a topper for other blushes but that’s my personal preference. I think deeper skin tones would enjoy using that shade as a highlighter (as well as the very bottom highlighter shade). The blushes and highlighters blend out nicely to create another seamless look. I especially love the fact that one of the highlighters is more on the satin side while the other one is metallic. So, when you’re ready to switch up your mood (or your look from day to night), you have options.

These swatches are all of the eyeshadows that you get in this palette. As you can see, that shimmery emerald green is the star of the show! It’s a gorgeous shade. There are also some purple tones in this palette that pair nicely with each other, too. The swatches do not do justice to the matte shades. They apply much better on the eyes with a brush than on the skin with your finger when you swatch them. Mattes can be a tricky formula to nail but these are fairly nice. I do think the shimmery/metallic shades are definitely the star of the show. Either way, this is a great cohesive palette to add to your collection – particularly if you’re looking for a new one to try out!

It’s easy to get an everyday “work look” but equally as easy to get a nice smokey look for the evening. The addition of the deep shades, such as the matte green, matte blue, and matte black, allow you to achieve a smokey eye with ease. The lighter shades are great for blending and highlighting. There are a nice bunch of metallic/shimmery lid shades as well. Overall, a well thought out palette and worth the price tag in my opinion!
