I tried out the Superwear Gel Eyeliner, $14/.04 oz, in the shade Florentine. It is a beautiful mid-toned purple shade that’s not too dark and not too bright, so it is wearable for every day looks. This eyeliner has a unique gel liner formula in a pencil.
The eyeliner gives a subtle touch of color gliding onto the lid smoothly and with ease. There is no need to tug on your eye because the gel formula allows the product to be applied with even the lightest touch. The color stays put all day without fading. I even rubbed my eye slightly and there was no transfer onto my fingertip! I highly recommend this product. It is available in 6 other shades: Noir, Sienna, Ivy, Noble, Mystic, and Vesta.
I also tested the Fashion Forward Matte Lipstick, $16/.12 oz, in the shade Sofi. This is not a traditional matte shade; it will not leave your lips dry and is very comfortable to wear. The formula is creamy, opaque, with a hint of shine and left a pretty stain on my lips, lasting for a good while.
There are three other shades available: SOBE Nights, Miami Vice, and NOBE.
The packaging for both of these products are great. The lipstick closes tightly and “snaps” shut which means it won’t cause a mess in your purse, pocket, or makeup bag! The cap for the eyeliner pencil fits nicely and doesn’t fall off when jostled around.
