We can’t seem to turn our heads or look on Instagram without hearing/seeing contouring and highlighting. If you are unfamiliar with these terms (which I am sure you are not), contouring and highlighting enhances the structure of your face by using dark and light colors to recede certain areas or make others pop. Done correctly, contouring and highlighting can accentuate your face shape and make your favorite features stand out.
So why this little lesson on contouring and highlighting? I thought you would like it since I am trying out NARS Cosmetics‘ latest collection. In their latest collection they released 3 Contour Blush duos, each with a light (highlighting) and dark (contour) color. The duo that I tried was Paloma, which consisted of a pinkish beige and deep rose color.
The powder provided a smooth and even application. You have to be careful with contouring because if you use too much, it can look muddy. I recommend starting with less because it is easier to build than blend away the product.
I found that the duo was really easy to use and the color worked great with my skintone. Not only that, but it also provided my skin with a little sheen. I don’t enjoy anything more than a good glow.
