Harlem’s new luxury nail bar Bed of Nails is the FIRST nail salon to carry Marc Jacobs Nail Lacquers!
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending Editor Day for a much-need manicure at Harlem’s new luxury escape: Bed of Nails nail bar — the perfect place for all divas in search of Fingertip Fashion!
Located at 2272 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, Bed of Nails is not your average nail salon. Created for women and men who want quality service, Bed of Nails not only caters to your nails, but also provides a sense of R.E.L.I.E.F: a Relaxing Escape with a Lush Invigorating and Essential Feel.
Along with carrying Marc Jacobs Nail Lacquers, other top-of-the-line polishes include brands like: Essie, Tom Ford, Chanel, Deborah Lippmann, butter London and Zoya.
The staff is extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable. My nail tech Maybelyn chastised me on my cuticle-ripping/biting habit — I should know better! I know.
Among the nail services offered, the décor is pure luxury: the pedicure seats are 7 feet high embellished and imported thrones! I felt like royalty!
Truly ahead of the nail bar game, Bed of Nails owner/creator Candice Idehen has quite the impressive background, having come a very long way in only four short years at the
tender age of 25!
Her work has been featured on the covers of Harper’s Bazaar, Brooklyn Magazine, Vogue Paris and many other fashion spreads and runways worldwide! Candice’s work has also graced the runways of several fashion designers including Louis Vuitton, Victoria Beckham and Calvin Klein.
Her expertise proved instrumental during the launch of the Essie for L’Oreal campaign. With all that said, already LEAPS AND BOUNDS ahead of the nail bar game, this luxury nail salon has raised that same bar with their range of manicures, pedicures, nail art, gel services, event space rentals, spa packages, facials and waxing.
Bed of Nail’s gel services use Bio Sculpture, Young Nails and Artist Colors gel for the most current nail looks. Prices are not bad either, depending on the package you desire. Thankfully, I work a short walk away and will be making Bed of Nails my go-to nail place during lunch hours or whenever my nails need pampering!
Salon hours: Monday: Closed / Tuesday-Thursday: 11am-8pm / Friday-Saturday: 10am-8:30pm /Sunday: 11am-6pm
You can go online to book an appointment at: www.bedofnailsnyc.com and view the pricing rates.
