The Emmy Awards 2010: Top Five Beauty Icons

While many of the entertainment news outlets are counting down the Best and Worst Dressed from Sunday night’s 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, BeautyStat is counting down the best in beauty. There were many hits and misses but these top 5 starlets put their best face (and hair) forward.

In 5th place, we actually have a three way tie between the ladies of Glee: Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays and Lea Michele.

5. Jane Lynch

One of the many celebs who stopped into The Insider’s backstage beauty chair, complimentary of Luxe Cosmetics, Jane Lynch gushed about Glee’s opening number and showed off her amazing skin and perfectly matched plum lips.

Jayma Mays

The second redhead on our list, Jayma Mays must have counseled herself on her beauty picks for the Emmy Awards. Her voluminous hair, matching nails, dark eyes and peachy lips showed us how popular this combination is going to be this fall.

Lea Michele

Completing the Glee beauty trifecta is Lea Michele. Her glowing skin and loose hair made this 24 year old look like a fresh, modern version of Brigitte Bardot. Celebrity make-up artist Melanie Inglessis used Reese Robert Lashes for this star’s gorgeous peepers, and makeup from Nars Cosmetics (including the Douceur blush, Tzarine duo eyeshadow, Palladium soft touch shadow pencil, and Tashkent pure matte lipstick). All products are new for fall.

4. Anna Paquin

Last seen on the cover of Rolling Stone covered in nothing but blood and her new hubby’s strategically placed hand, Anna Paquin unfortunately lost out in the fashion category but scored points for her vampire-esque beauty on the red carpet. With matching nails to the bottom part of her matador inspired dress and dark, mysterious eyes it’s no wonder that Sookie is wanted by many.

3. Kyra Sedgwick

She may be one of the night’s winners but Kyra Sedgewick also won us over with her perfectly matching lips to her dress. They were looking berry delicious. With subtle eye makeup, nude nails and wavy locks her lips made as much as a statement as did her dress and her performance.

2. Christina Hendricks

We’re mad over Christina Hendricks Emmy look. Practically perfect in periwinkle, Hendricks let her red hair do the shining complimenting her milky white skin and pastel makeup. Lancome’s makeup artist Vanessa Scali used the new Lancôme foundation Teint Miracle, on Christina.

1. Heidi Klum

First place goes to one of the Fashion queens herself: Heidi Klum. She had it perfectly packaged with the tan, the eyes, the nude lips and the matching dark nails. As many of Project Runway’s contestants know by now, it’s all about the little details.

Who were some of your beauty favorites from the Emmy’s?
