One of the biggest traditions of ringing in the New Year is to kiss those dearest to us. Not only are you sharing a celebration with those you love but our hope is that those who are with us as we welcome a New Year will remain in our lives another 12 months.
Leaving your lip color on another person is NOT an option so an ultra long wearing product is a must have for New Year’s. Start off 2011 with a BOLD color that shows your daring side. Reds and bright pinks are a plus for New Year’s.

In this photo above, I am wearing Laura Mercier’s lip stain in Scarlet. It looks much brighter in the jar but once applied is a lighter shade of red for those of you who aren’t ready to risk having too many smooches. This is a good choice for those who don’t want a “blaring red light” kind of lipstick: it’s elegant yet showy…just like your New Year’s Eve.
