Comparison Review: Olay Sensitive Body Wash VS. Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash - Which One Provides Better Long-Lasting Moisture? If you have sensitive skin, let’s see you raise those virtual hands! We always talk about facial skin sensitivities, but how about our bodies? Not all soaps and body washes are created equal.

Luckily, Olay has launched its NEW Sensitive Body Wash — free of any irritants, like dyes and scents, and is as gentle to skin as water. I’m a sensitive skin girl from head to toe, so I was more than excited to try out this new body wash AND put it to the ultimate body wash road test with its counterpart, Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash with NutriumMoisture®. Mind you, this showdown isn’t for the faint of heart.

I got down to the challenge, trying out the Dove Body Wash first. It too is unscented and contains Dove’s NutriumMoisture®. I poured some on my loofah and lathered up. It produced an adequate amount of soapy foam to wash my entire body. But the real test lied in how my skin felt as soon as I dried off. My skin was clean, no residue, but I really wanted to apply my body lotion. My skin still felt a tad parched and in need of an extra layer of moisture.

The next night, I grabbed my hefty bottle of Olay Sensitive Body Wash (it seriously is a huge bottle that will last me for plenty of shower sessions). Did you know that it contains one jar of Olay moisturizers? An entire jar of moisturizers is in this one body wash! It also visibly relieves dry skin after 5 days of use, providing long-lasting hydration. And with this on-again/off-again winter/spring season, my skin has been in need of consistent moisture.

I once again lathered up and noticed that the foam seemed much lighter, almost airy and fluffy (if you could describe a soap’s lather to be “fluffy”). There was no soapy residue or that annoying unscented-scented smell most products have.

I went to towel-dry my body and wondered at how moisturized my skin felt. I really could go without my nightly body oil, or double layer of body cream. And the great thing about this body wash is that it has also made me a complete body wash converter — as I am a bar soap girl (but never fear, this body wash also comes in a bar form if you can’t stand the loofah).

I don’t have those scaly legs anymore, what with winter hair removal and all. I find myself feeling my skin more and absolutely loving it — I simply can’t wait until the summertime to unveil my Olay skin.
