Cosmetic Chemist Skincare Review, Ingredients: Elizabeth Arden, Prevage Progressive Renewal Treatment
The Elizabeth Arden Prevage Progressive Renewal Treatment ($162.00) is a 4-week at-home face peel where the user starts week 1 with the lowest dosage of hydroxy acids, then progresses to weeks 2, 3, and 4 with a progressively higher level of hydroxy acids.

This product taps into the insight that your cell turnover slows down as you age, thus making your skin look rough and dull. And therefore, by gently exfoliating, you can accelerate cell turnover and reveal significantly smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin.

The product claims:
  • See your skin transform after one week
  • Four weeks until significantly smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin
  • Week 1 – Radiance and clarity are restored
  • Week 2 – Fine lines and pores are visibly diminished
  • Week 3 – Deeper lines are visibly reduced
  • Week 4 – Tone is evened; skin looks younger

Ingredients:

The products contain hydroxy acids that work to resurface the skin gradually over the course of 4 weeks. It also contains the Prevage signature ingredient, Idebeneone. Idebenone is a powerful antioxidant that works to protect the newly revealed skin cells from free-radical damage.

Cosmetic Chemist Assessment:

I like the fact that this product uses both alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) as well as poly hydroxy acids (PHAs). PHAs are larger molecules and provide gentler exfoliation than AHAs. So, this combination should allow both gentle exfoliation during week 1 and 2, then more significant exfoliation during weeks 3 and 4. Each serum is lightweight and fast-absorbing.

Our product testers have been using the products for a couple of weeks now and they are loving the results. See their reviews here.
