Glow to Go: Dennis Gross Skincare's Alpha Beta Glow Pads Product Review

As you may or may not know, I hail from the “Emerald City,” aka Seattle, Washington, rain capital of the United States, neighbor to Forks, Washington (yeah vampires and the Space Needle).

There’s a reason why they call it the Emerald City. It’s green here, all year round and mostly because it rains for about five or six months of the year. So when they asked me to write a story on self tanning products, I jumped at the chance. Poor me could easily be cast in an episode of True Blood.

Alpha Beta Glow Pads are different from other tanning products as they are the only anti-aging ,exfoliating, sunless tanner that contains active Vitamin D (the sun vitamin) so it provides smoother, healthier skin and natural radiance year round. Soy Protein helps to “kick start” collagen production and ensures a more natural hue for rich, long-lasting color. There’s even Vitamins A, C, and E antioxidants, and Vitamin B that help reduce pore size and provides wound healing.

I really liked that the color developed slowly, it wasn’t oily, there was no film, and when I woke up the next morning, I did see a noticeable all over color. I would recommend this if you just want an all over sunny hue, or when going on vacation to give a nice “base” color to your tan.

The color can be customized by using another towelette, and gives a healthy, spent time in the sun glow, even on those who are very fair skinned such as myself (may I say I was actually impressed?).

The box contains 20 travel sized packets for $32 and will be available April/May 2011. Do you self tan? If so, would you splurge for towelettes or lotions or sprays?
