Post Thanksgiving Nutrition: An Interview with GliSODin Skin Nutrients' Paula Simpson

As the holiday season is upon us, presents begin to fill the space under the tree. Wouldn’t it be nice to find one made out just for you, and it was unlike any other? Wouldn’t it be nice to open the beautiful box and see the gift of timeless beauty?

Before you let out a sigh thinking that type of gift is all sold out, may I introduce to you celebrity skincare expert, Paula Simpson. I had the divine pleasure to ask her a few questions about how we can get our skin glowing and healthy throughout the cold months ahead. As Simpson is a dedicated believer in healing the skin from the inside out with nutricosmetics (aka drinkable beauty), she puts her beauty trust in GliSODin Skin Nutrients. So put down the wrapping paper, grab a cup of tea and take a moment to give yourself some prestigious skin advice.

BeautyStat: Explain how GliSODin Skin Nutrients works.

Paula Simpson: “GliSODin is an all natural melon extract proven to be a rich source of SOD (superoxide dismutase) that helps to protect the cells in the body from oxidative stress (free radical damage.) Oxidative stress is a precursor to many chronic conditions including accelerated aging of the skin. The line offers 4 key products for total skin health and to support and enhance the effect of medical aesthetic procedures.”

BeautyStat: It sounds amazing. What results can people expect to see?

Paula Simpson: “The Advanced Daily Formula contains natural ingredients that have shown to prevent oxidative stress, photo aging, collagen degradation, and dehydration while providing a preventative platform to slow aging of the skin. All of the ingredients in the Advanced Daily Formula will promote optimum health which in turn provides energy and well being.
The Advanced Skin Brightening Formula was developed to promote even skin tone while working to protect and reduce skin damage caused by UVR exposure. It balances skin tone and reduces irritation through a careful formulation of GliSODin® and other premium ingredients. This formula works along facial skin resurfacing treatments that aim to reduce hyper pigmentation.
The Advanced Detoxification Formula was specially formulated to promote detoxification through the liver, kidneys, intestinal tract, and skin to promote optimum health. Many studies have shown that poor health and oxidative stress can lead to blemished, discolored and dull skin, as well as premature aging.
In order to reduce recovery time and improve aesthetic results, the administration of pre and post treatment nutraceutical formulations, potent antioxidants and immune enhancing agents have been shown in human clinical studies to be beneficial in reducing oxidative stress associated with the treatment procedure.
The Advanced Pre/Post Treatment Formula works to support the immune system and reduce oxidative stress associated with surgical procedures.”

BeautyStat: Ok, you really have my attention now. But with today’s economy, is it cost effective?

Paula Simpson: “Absolutely. Prices range from $80.00-200.00.

BeautyStat: With the cold weather ahead, how else can people maintain healthy, hydrated skin?

Paula Simpson: “Your body is close to 70% water, stay away from dehydrating beverages and foods such as alcohol, coffee, and sugar. Choose herbal teas, raw fruits and vegetables and water more often. The skin is the first to show signs of dehydration, in addition to adequate fluid intake choose water rich foods such as cucumber, watermelon, peaches, apples, melons and celery.”

BeautyStat: Thank you so much for your time. But, before we go, what is your typical winter skin care routine?

Paula Simpson: “I definitely increase my intake of Omega 3’s in both my diet and supplementation. Hydration through herbal teas is big for me in the winter. I love hydrating facials this time of year, too!”
