Review, Before/After Photos: Peter Thomas Roth's New Laser-Free Regenerator Moisturizing Gel-Cream

I consider myself — like most of you — committed to taking better care of my skin with effective products, as it’s the only skin we have. I don’t like to use the words “youthful” or “younger” to describe the benefits of products all of the time, as I want to feel comfortable in my 42-year-old skin. I don’t expect products to make me look younger, I expect products to improve my skin’s overall look, therefore making my skin appear more radiant and even toned.

To be honest, I hesitated to put this pink gel-cream on my face at first, as the color threw me off; I have to assume it’s the ingredients such as dragon’s blood, dragon fruit, red poppy, fire tulip, japanese cherry and purple orchid that give it this color. Once I got used to seeing the color (and the fact that you open the jar by twisting it from the bottom) and felt the gel-cream texture, it did apply easily to the skin. Even though it’s lightweight in nature, it packs a punch with hydration — and my skin felt supple and appeared less dull after only two applications throughout the day (suggested daily usage).

The ingredients are quite unique and I wondered what exactly I was putting on my face and why I did see a difference after only two applications.

The key ingredients are:

Dragon’s Blood — red resin that is drawn from the Amazon’s Croton Lechleri tree, which has been a centuries old secret to help accelerate skin’s natural regeneration

Niacinamide PC — also known as Vitamin B3, helps firm and even skin tone

Hexapeptide — meant to stimulate the skin’s own generation of collagen and elastin

Dragon Fruit — increases the skin’s luminosity and acts as a skin brightener

Red Poppy — provides a soothing and mildly calming component

Fire Tulip — acts as a protective antioxidant

Japanese Cherry — detoxifies and provides both protection and moisture

Purple Orchid — moisturizes and smooths fine lines

Aqua Cell — natural skin moisturizer; line and wrinkle plumper

Caffeine — encapsulated, firms and helps other active ingredients penetrate the skin better

Peter Thomas Roth’s products are known for their breakthrough formulas. I am obsessed with the Instant FirmX Eye, after my mother told me she had seen it on Dr. Oz.

Proven scientific research is incorporated into each product and the packaging is labeled as “Clinical Skin Care.” This PTR product will be available in April 2012 for $68.00 at finer retail, spa and salon locations nationwide including Sephora. For more information visit www.peterthomasroth.com.
