Clinique introduces a new moisturizing mask to the brand’s Even Better best-selling franchise. The new Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask, $36, revitalizes and hydrates to give you soft, smooth, and supple skin. It is packed with ingredients like Glucosamine, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, and Licorice Extract to help brighten and counteract dullness of your skin. It is suggested to be used three times a week to achieve the best results. It’s great for all skin types.
To apply: Spread evenly with fingertips to cheeks, forehead, neck and chin avoiding the eye area! It is suggested to leave on for five to ten minutes, wipe off with tissue and pat residual into the skin or rinse if you prefer. By three minutes, it was sinking into my skin and felt like a very moist glaze. There was only a little bit of tingling. By ten minutes, my face felt like I was in a stream room. It was so soothing that I wanted to keep it on longer but took it off after about thirteen minutes. Then I used tissue to finish, which I have never done with a mask before, I always wash it off. The moisture mask is creamy and I didn’t find it to be thick or heavy. My face had a rosy glow which I like, I was really pleased with this mask. For even better results, follow up with Clinique’s Even Better Lotion, Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector and Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer.
The new Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask, $25, is guaranteed to be your new favorite mask to get a deeper clean. It’s the brand’s first charcoal mask and combines a blend of clays and charcoal powder to mattify and detoxify the skin of dirt and impurities. Don’t let the charcoal scare you, this gentle formula provides comfort and prevents potential dryness while minimizing the appearance of pores, reducing shine and leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean. Charcoal powder is derived from bamboo that acts like a magnet to draw out oils and environmental pollutants to help skin stay fresh, clean and pure. It also contains Montmorillonite, Kaolin Clay, Algae Extract, Caffeine, Sucrose, and Hyaluronic Acid – all working together to purify and cleanse your skin.
To apply: Simply put the mask on liberally to a cleansed face or on your oily T-zone area and leave on for five to ten minutes. The charcoal mask has a pudding-like texture. It’s smooth, thick and very fun to put on. It starts to tingle for about two minutes then feels cool, it dries in about seven to ten minutes.
I left it on for a while, about twenty minutes. Finally I rinsed off with warm water and I could feel that it removed a lot of dirt and debris. I have very dry, sensitive skin and I usually break out or get rashes from masks but with this one, so far so good. It is suggested to use one to two times a week for those with skin types 2, 3, and 4.
I would recommend these two!
