Freegirl Skin Care was a brand that I had not heard of before trying out some products from the line. In case you haven’t heard of the line either, the founder, Jamie, created the line with more than skin care in mind. She also wanted her brand to reflect helping women on a complete wellness journey: mind, body, and spirit. Freegirl Skin Care also shares a portion of every product sold directly with groups that aid in the recovery and healing of young women that have been victims of the human sex trafficking epidemic.

Freegirl Skin Care has released their first ten products and all ten products were awarded and labeled as MADE SAFE certified. This is the most rigorous certification for safe and non-toxic products in existence.

Freegirl Skin Care True Moisture Creme | $68.00

Hydrate, strengthen, and refresh with this delicious creme that is pure nourishment for your skin. Rose extracts, calendula blossoms, lavender, and chamomile allows your skin to lock in moisture, soothe irritation, and support cell regeneration. True moisture delights in skin conditions such as rosacea, dermatitis, or acne as it calms and protects it from further irritation and dehydration. This creme is the perfect finishing touch to your dry, mature, or sensitive skincare regimen.

As someone who suffers from adult acne prone skin, I am always looking for a great gentle moisturizer that still packs a punch in the hydration department. This one is exceptional. It has a very soft and light rose scent to it which I didn’t find to be bothersome at all. I love using it in the morning underneath my makeup, as it doesn’t disturb my makeup at all. But, it’s moisturizing enough to use it at night, too. I actually enjoy mixing it with the serum that I’ll be discussing later on in this post.

Freegirl Skin Care Kindhearted Cleansing Milk | $48.00

Clarify, cleanse, and hydrate with this cleansing milk. Envelop your senses with the nourishing affects of spike lavandin for oily/congested and normal skin types. Allow this herbal experience to help soothe blemishes, but also help heal and improve the look of scars from past breakouts. Kindhearted Cleansing Milk is a true delight to your skin, leaving it refreshed and protected.

I really enjoy the scent of this product. It smells natural and invigorating. I enjoy using this both in the morning and in the evening; however, I do use a different cleanser to make sure that my makeup is removed before using this cleanser. I love that it can help improve the look of past scars and breakouts, which I definitely suffer from. I hope from continued use I will see some long-term results. This is a great cleanser that doesn’t strip your skin of all moisture. Freegirl Skin Care states that you can even use this cleansing milk as a moisturizing and skin soothing treatment by leaving it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinsing. I’ve yet to try this product out in this way but I’ll give it a shot on a particularly bad skincare day.

Freegirl Skin Care Angelic Nighttime Serum | $70.00

Illuminate, brighten, and balance with this night serum. Delight yourself in a delicious botanical experience while illuminating your skin as you sleep. The exquisite corrective treatment helps improve the look of discoloration from acne, scarring, sun damage, and hormone related hyperpigmentation. Licorice, lemon, and foraha oil work to balance and brighten the complexion, keeping the tissue toned and protected from further oxidative stress. Angelic Nighttime Serum abounds with soothing botanicals such as lavender, chamomile, and pomegranate seed oil to nourish and calm as it heals.

I’ve been enjoying using this product in conjunction with the True Moisture Creme at night to really add some intense hydration while I sleep. In addition, I love that it also works to heal discoloration and scarring from acne. I do not suffer from hyperpigmentation or any effects of sun damage so I cannot speak to that, but this is really a treat for your skin in the evening. When I wake up, my skin feels plump, hydrated, and has a natural glow to it.

Overall, I am very impressed with the products I’ve tried from Freegirl Skin Care. I love that their products are cruelty free and that they are plant based. I love that everything has a nice, natural fragrance to it. I don’t have to worry about any fragrance further irritating my sensitive skin. I would definitely implore you to check out Freegirl Skin Care and see what products from their line you can incorporate into your daily skincare regimen. They may be slightly on the pricier side but the ingredients are actually good for your skin, and they’re free of chemicals.
