The Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream ($14.44), with vitamin B3, is a night cream that is supposed to help brighten your skin. It comes in your typical tub of cream, and the consistency of this is rather unique in my opinion: it doesn’t feel like your usual night cream, which is generally very thick and heavy on the skin. It’s more of a mixture between a gel-like texture and a day cream.

I found it to be very hydrating on the skin, but not too hydrating to where you could not use it as a day cream if you really wanted to. It does take a little time to soak into the skin, but once it does, your skin feels extremely soft and supple.

With regards to brightening, I didn’t feel that this really brightened my skin, but I did like using it as a night cream. I found that it hydrated my skin and did not cause me to become over oily or have any additional breakouts from any of the ingredients.

Although I did not experience any of the real brightening effects, I did notice that this product attributed to a nice, natural glow to my skin. This is most likely due to the fact that this product claims to boost the five factors of radiance for your skin. I did like that extra healthy glow that it gave to the skin.

Lastly, there are three hair products. They are all from the Aveeno Active Naturals line, Nourish & Dandruff Control. One is the Shampoo ($7.49), one is the Conditioner ($7.49), and the third is the 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner ($7.49). I do like the scent of these shampoos: very natural and fresh. It’s not particularly feminine, nor masculine, so this could be used by either men or women.

I don’t particularly like products that are 2-in-1, already mixed. I have very thick, coarse hair, and I need to use a separate, thick conditioner in order for my hair to be manageable. So, I would steer away from the 2-in-1 if you have hair similar to the texture of mine.

However, I did enjoy the Shampoo and Conditioner that were in their own separate containers. I don’t suffer from dandruff, so I cannot comment on how this would help someone with a dry scalp. But, this did leave my hair looking silky and super-shiny. I actually received quite a few compliments from co-workers regarding how shiny my hair looked, and it was while I was using and testing out this shampoo.

It leaves a nice, fresh scent on your hair throughout the day as I mentioned. The Shampoo lathers up well just as most do. The Conditioner isn’t super-thick and creamy, but it’s not quite thin — it’s an in-between sort of texture. If you’ve used like a VO5 Conditioner, it’s a little bit thicker than that, but not quite as thick as one from TRESemmé.

Overall, I really do like the way these products made my hair look and feel. I won’t personally be repurchasing these because, as I said, I do not suffer from dandruff so I don’t need this particular hair care product and I need a thicker and more hydrating shampoo. I would say if you have dandruff, give the Aveeno products a shot.
