Here’s a new one for your arsenal, ladies, Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex. Olay’s recently introduced moisturizer (to be used twice a day) promises that you will, “See results in an instant.” Olay claims that, “the advanced micro-fillers and light-diffusing particles smooth the look of fine lines right before your eyes.” Additionally, Olay claims that, “this wrinkle treatment’s formula hydrates to reduce the appearance of deep lines in just 14 days.” See key ingredients here: VITAMIN B3 (NIACINAMIDE), VITAMIN B5 (PANTHENOL), VITAMIN E, PALMITOYL-PEPTIDE (PAL-KTTKS).
Naturally, I was eager to get started. The first thing I noticed was the extreme, and I mean nearly total, absorption of this product. I am a bit of a nut about this; I can’t stand creams, serums, or moisturizers that leave a slick, oily film on my skin. This formula vanished almost immediately when I put it on, and in the morning, I did not notice any residue at all.
Now for the claims made by Olay. I did notice a brightness and smoothness to my skin upon applying the product. But even after using it for two weeks, I did not notice a change in the more serious wrinkles. However, given how well it works on a day-to-day basis (like you had eight hours of sleep and a really good breakfast to boot!) I would continue using it just for the immediate effects it offers.
And with continued use, it may well have some positive effect on those more stubborn wrinkles.
