Best Hairstyle Trends 2015: Golden Globe Awards: Get the Look of Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Mara, Emma Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katherine Heigl Stylist DJ Quintero wanted to create a modern, clean look to complement Katie Holmes’ strapless, eggplant-colored Marchesa gown. Holmes wasn’t wearing any jewelry, so Quintero created a deep-parted, low pony-tail to compliment her striking features and elegant, bare neckline. Here’s how you can recreate the look:

Step 1: On damp hair, mix a small amount of Alterna Haircare Caviar Seasilk Oil Gel with Alterna Haircare Caviar Anti-Aging Omega (+) Nourishing Oil, and brush through.

Step 2: Using a large round brush, blow dry hair on high-heat and part it far to the left.

Step 3: Prep dry hair with Alterna Haircare Caviar Perfect Iron Spray, and use a thin flatiron, from root to tip, to create a super smooth look.

Step 4: Gather parted hair low at the nape of her neck, and secure with a hair bungee. Wrap several small pieces of hair around the bungee to hide it, and secure with bobby pins.

Step 5: Finish by spraying a generous amount of Alterna Haircare Caviar Perfect Texture Finishing Spray, and apply a dime-size amount of Alterna Haircare Bamboo Smooth Kendi Dry Oil Micromist to ends.

Jennifer Lopez

Here’s how you can recreate the look:

Step 1: On damp hair, spray L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It High Lift Creation Spray.

Step 2: To amp up volume, apply L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Volume Inject Mousse on damp hair and began to blow dry with a round brush.

Step 3: Set hair in 1-inch hot rollers for about an hour. Flip over and brush out.

Step 4: Tease the crown while spraying L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold.

STEP 5: To complete the look, Lorenzo used a comb to split a front portion of Jennifer’s hair down the middle and secured behind her ears with a few bobby pins.

The beautiful classic silhouette inspired L’Oreal stylist Mara Roszak to create a modern look with a deep side part for an element of classic style. Here’s how you can recreate the look:

Step 1: After washing, apply L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Blow Dry It Quick Dry Primer Spray to speed up the dry time, then rough dried the hair.

Step 2: With a ghd limited-edition Rose Gold Professional 1″ iron, straighten each section to create a modern look.

Step 3: To add texture, spray L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle High Lift Creation Spray all over to add hold for the up-do.

Step 4: Secure short bob into a low pony tail. Wrap a small section of hair around the pony and secure with bobby pins.

Step 5: To piece out the pony for a slightly edgy look, spray hairspray on fingertips and create rough texture at the ends of hair.

Best Hairstyle Trends 2015: Golden Globe Awards: Get the Look of Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Mara, Emma Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katherine HeiglEmma Stone wore a custom Lanvin jumpsuit that was modern with classic elegant ease. Here’s how you can recreate the look:

Step 1: To prep, apply L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Texture Series Tousle Crème to hair for texture.

Step 2: Rough dry the hair until almost dry and then spritz L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Txt it Tousle Waves Spray and continue to rough dry completely.

ghd Brand Ambassador David Babaii‘s inspiration for Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Golden Globes hairstyle? That would be “70’s Playboy Bunny, of course. Paltrow is known for her iconic straight hair, but Babaii aimed to mix it up and have a little fun with sexy waves. Here’s how you can recreate the look:

Step 1: Blow dry hair using a ghd air hairdryer and a round brush.

Step 2: Create an off-center part and divide into three sections: two in the front and one in the back.

Step 3: Starting at the back and working forward, take different sized sections and curl hair using the ghd curve soft curl iron. The 1.25” barrel creates voluminous, soft polished waves. After each piece, release the curl and stretch it out for 2-3 seconds. Continue all the way to the top alternating the direction of the curl.

Step 4: To finish, apply dime-sized amount of ghd Smooth & Finish Serum to the hands and run through the hair, then brush out the hair with a wide tooth comb to loosen the waves.

Katherine Heigl

Best Hairstyle Trends 2015: Golden Globe Awards: Get the Look of Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Mara, Emma Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katherine HeiglDavid Babaii, Brand Ambassador for ghd, calls Katherine Heigl‘s hairstyle ‘California Chic.’ He wanted the look to be soft and smooth, but with a hint of naughtiness. Here’s how you can recreate the look:

Step 1: First blow dry hair using the ghd air hairdryer and a round brush. Then part the hair down the middle and divide into three sections: two in the front and one in the back.

Step 2: Starting at the back and working forward, take different sized sections and curl hair using the ghd curve creative curl wand, the size of the barrel creates the looser shape needed for this look. After each piece, release the curl and stretch it out for 2-3 seconds. Continue all the way to the top alternating the direction of the curl.

Step 3: For the top sections, don’t curl the hair all the way to the root, only the bottom half of the shaft. This prevents “Shirley Temple tendrils”. Finish the look by pulling front sections of hair behind the ear.
