L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Day Lotion SPF 30, $19.99, is designed to intensely moisturize and nourish mature skin. Enriched with five essential oils and broad spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen, the formula is said to, penetrate effectively into skin’s surface layer for long lasting hydration and comfort. Skin will feel firmer and more toned with a healthy glow. I used this every morning for about two weeks and cannot say enough good things about it. The formula is rich, creamy and nourishing, and it seems to soak right into the skin. It’s a great base for make-up, and the perfect barrier cream in the cold weather. My skin felt toned and firm after use. And I also appreciated the SPF 30, which makes me feel like I am getting adequate protection from the sun. Finally, the price is excellent for such a multi-tasking, high-performing product.
L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Facial Oil SPF 30, $19.99, adds natural oil that can be lost as skin matures. It is also L’Oreal’s first facial oil containing broad-spectrum SPF. This lightweight, non-greasy formula soaks deeply into skin for intense, glowing, nourishment. The formula contains eight essential oils, which penetrate into the skin’s surface layer to provide long-lasting hydration and a healthy glow. They are:
- Chamomile
- Lavender
- English Lavender
- Marjoram
- Peppermint
- Orange
- Rosemary
- Geranium
I used this both alone and in conjunction with the day lotion mentioned above and just loved it too. The light fragrance was delightful and true to its claim, it was not heavy or greasy, but soaked right in. I am not used to using an oil of this kind during the day, but it clearly provides superior hydration, especially when used with the day cream. And the SPF 30 is another plus. Super product, super price!
L’Oreal Paris has just introduced a new product to the Age Perfect Collection, the Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Eye Balm, $19.99. This is designed for the ever-so-delicate area under the eyes. According to L’Oreal, when skin under and around the eye becomes thin, dry and uncomfortable, a regular moisturizer is not enough. So the balm is specially formulated with ingredients intended to combat the appearance of dark circles and puffiness that become more pronounced with age. It also helps to boost elasticity and re-densify the underlying structure around the eye.”
I used this twice daily for a couple of weeks. The formula is wonderful—dense and rich, like French butter, and it felt so good to apply it under and around my eyes. I can’t say it helped with dark circles (mine are stubborn) but it did address the puffiness nicely and was altogether excellent product at an excellent price. A trio of winners from L’Oreal!
