Farsali – you may have heard of this high-end makeup line by now. It’s been all over social media and the buzz in the beauty community has been LOUD. They’ve got amazing products. In fact, we reviewed some previously back in February. You can check out that review here. Farsali has introduced two new shades of their amazing Jelly Beam Illuminator – Glowup and Rose Goals. We’ll be talking about these stunning new shades today so keep ready as you may need to add these items to your makeup arsenal! (Okay, may isn’t the word… *need* is more appropriate.)

So what is the Jelly Beam Illuminator, you might ask? It is a jelly highlighter that applies like a gel and sets like a powder, giving you a high-shine finish, concentrated pigmentation, and a customizable glow. The product retails for $40.00 and contains 0.5 oz. of product. It comes in a very luxurious glass jar with a gold lid. A very beautiful product both on the skin and on your vanity!

Jelly Beam’s innovative texture is a bouncy gel that is loaded with pigment to give you that blinding glow. Being a jelly, it moves and glides easily on the skin, starting off with a wet, cool feel. Because it is 100% free of oil, it quickly dries down to a powder finish. The formula is concentrated so a little of it goes a long way. The product jiggles around in the jar. The texture is like no other product I have ever used. The product tends to jellify or form together and move around in the packaging and lid. If stirred, the product will transform into a runny consistency and fill up the space of the container. You can use it as-is, or have some fun and give it a star. Both consistences give you the same gorgeous finish.

Rose Goals

The Jelly Beam Illuminator is formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. The product is also vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without gluten. The key is to swipe it on with a finger (instead of dotting the product) and blend. Work on one area at a time so that the product doesn’t set before you have had a chance to blend it out.

As you can see from the swatches, both Glowup and Rose Goals are extremely blinding. You can also get a very natural effect by applying a small amount of the product. The swatches show you the intensity you can achieve with this product. I like to swipe just a small amount on my cheekbones (or wherever else you want to highlight) and then take a small stippling brush and blend the product in (you can also use your fingers). It doesn’t disturb any makeup that you’ve applied underneath it either. It gives your skin a pretty shine and dries down to a powder within seconds.

Glowup is a light pink shade. It does contain flecks of sparkles in it. If you’re into a more metallic and glittery finish, you will love this product. Rose Goals is a metallic golden shade which would be extremely amazing tan, medium or deep skin tones. However, I was able to use it on my more fair skin tone and still get a beautiful effect. You can also try applying these underneath your foundation for a lit from within glow, or even mixing a little bit with your foundation for a customizable dewy look.

As always, I am very impressed with the two new shades of the Jelly Beam Illuminator. I would recommend everyone try this product once. If you’re afraid of purchasing a product online before being able to test it out in the stores, you can travel to your local Sephora and swatch these two shades!
