This kit is my favorite of the Lorac Love, Lust & Lace Gift Set line that I have tried so far. The kit includes: an eye shadow palette (containing 7 shades), 2 Alter Ego lip glosses in Stunner (rose pink shade) and Harlot (raspberry shade), a Cobra mascara in black & a Front of the Line Pro eyeliner pencil in black.
The eye shadow palette is a great mixture of neutrals, as well as a matte and shimmer shadows. The navy blue shade offers a beautiful pop of color. These eye shadows are on par with the quality that I expect and have come to love from Lorac. In the photograph, I am using Lust all over the lid, Lace in the crease, and Love on the inner corner and on the brow bone. The shadows apply smoothly, blend flawlessly, and do not fade or smear throughout the day.
The Front of the Line Pro pencil eyeliners are some of my favorite on the market. The black eyeliner is a must have, especially if you are looking for an eye pencil to stay all day on your water line. They are smooth, creamy, and easy to apply. The pencils are retractable so you do not have to worry about sharpening. You simply twist it up.
The Alter Ego Lip Glosses are absolutely fabulous. They are not super sticky but yet they are just tacky enough to hold up onto your lips for a good amount of time. They are comfortable and very pigmented for a lip gloss. They contain antioxidants, acai berry, pomegranate, grape seed extract, and vitamins C and E, to nourish and protect your lips.
The Cobra mascara is a pretty good mascara in my opinion. I really thought the design of the brush was innovative and very original. It definitely reminded me of a “Cobra.” The brush can take a little getting used to because of the shape; however, it really separates and fans out lashes. The formula for the mascara is nice. It’s very black and doesn’t clump or flake throughout the day.
Overall, I think this is a great gift set, especially for those who are younger and just getting into makeup or even for those who want to explore the Lorac line and aren’t sure what to pick out. This kit can give you a basic everyday look, with an eye shadow palette that can take you from neutral to glam in just minutes!
